Tuch skates with 20 on Tampa the WHOLE way down the ice.... Where is Dahlin going for him? When hes already infront of UPL......

Tage absolutely took his time getting back up ice, and if Tuch hadn't had a brain cramp then it very likely would have been Tage's man open in the slot (they were actually both open). But the issue happened when it was 2v2 in the zone. We had men back and it should have been fine.

But Dahlin really seems unsure when he points - I don't know if he loved the fact that Tuch was on him so much, and he might have seen that Tuch wasn't looking at him. It doesn't change the fact that you're asking a player to charge out into the slot as it would make it a lot easier to skate around him if he was coming at you. Dahlin ended up in no-mans land.

Effort wasn't the issue for Tuch. He had no business being there.

Go back and watch it again. The guy has a step on Tuch and had a path to the net. If Dahlin isn't there the guy takes it to the net and then we're mad at Dahlin for not taking the first guy back. The guy only curls around because he sees Dahlin there. It isn't unlike a goalie has to honor the shot first. Tuch was clearly behind the guy coming over the blue line and Dahlin has to focus on that guy. Tuch has the opportunity to engage the guy at center ice and he slowed up.
