If he's not ready he's not ready....but I think if he was they could easily find a place for him to play with Toews or Kane as some of those guys they are skating with...... far from top 6 players but like you said....and MOST of US understand....they are trying at not being good.

I am wondering if the Hawks are leaving all the guys down in the AHL to gel together a while, and bring a herd of them up at one time to really create a strong bond and mold. So that way the guys have all played consistently with one another for awhile and can have that instant chemistry in the NHL upon arrival. KD doesn't want to bring any of the kids up to interrupt their marination process with the bonding and things but also is focused on the rebuild so isn't wanting to have any of the new kids up on the team around the circus show right now.

Just my thoughts.

Did I miss or forget something? Thought Davidson was hired by the Hawks as an unpaid intern on the bottom rung of the ladder and in 10 yrs worked his way up to assistant to StanBow? He was never with Ottawa as far as I know.

But yea, you/all Hawk's fans should be concerned about Davidson cuz if he proves to be incapable the organIzation will flail for 10 yrs. Remember the top of the hockey side ladder is Danny Boy, the guy who promoted and gave a raise to StanBow for his fine work in building the pipeline and not making the playoffs in 5-6 yrs just this last summer!!!!

This is the guy who will evaluate Davidson, not a president of hockey ops!! Danny Boy. When you complain about the Davidson hire direct your complaints to Danny Boy, the guy who was enamored with StanBow who would still be the GM today if not for the Beach thing!!

We all better hope Davidson is capable.

Well Davidson hasn't shown incapable of anything he has done to thus point. He's actually being presently evaluated but based on many of the moves he has made they have been benefactors for the club. He has made some not so good moves for the organization from a fans and accepting a rebuild phase but he's following through with a plan and sticking to it. Something as one article I believe I read said moat gms would be unable to do. Most would be under extreme pressure to make the team competitive no matter what and rebuilding would be deviated from quickly. So he's got the backing from the organization as a whole. And I think he's starting over and rebuilding what we had with the 3 Stanley cups in 5 years or whatever. You follow a winning pattern. We rebuilt then and how did we do it then? We rebuilt from within by drafting kane, toews, Seabrook, Keith, harmlyson, and added other pieces for supporting cast and also drafted other guys. But you know the story. This is what KD envisions and it's the only way to do it. So we suck and go back to painful hockey again until we rebuild internally. KD is young so he probably understands technology a bit more than the older guys in the industry. And what KD doesn't know he brings in these guys to help. Technology is going to help the Blackhawks in refining their draft strategy and finding those diamonds in the rough. It's going to help guys with their reactions to situations in games, how they can fix flaws in their games. KD mentioned utilizing technology and things so this says to me they are going to be analyzing data and going beyond the eye and scouting reports.
