For this season, I don’t think it’s a bad thing that he gains confidence and chemistry on the wing, since he’s a career 35% on face offs. He’s only 9 points away from beating his career season high already!!!

I like it! And if they trade Dvorak, then he can slide into that spot when ready. No rush as of now.

I’m keeping in mind that Caufield’s contract will take up roughly a third of that number give or take…..

There's no need IMO ... I prefer to have kids playing than have another overpriced veteran player they would bring in.

We're not anywhere close to being contenders so there is no rush.

I think a lot of that space has to be dedicated to Caufield’s contract and managing the kids’ next contracts whether they be bridge deals or otherwise. I could see them trying to land a dman and that’s about it. If they flip Monahan and the TDL, that will tell us everything.

In all fairness Gramps…..wouldn’t you say there’s been an over abundance of noise within the Hawks organization since his return from his wrist injury? That poop wasn’t regular noise and his confidence and development were compromised because of it. No?

not really. other factors would be more of a reason. lost development time due the injury being the primary one. having to play for a couple of poopty coaches didn't help, either.

well, if CHI gets a pick in the top 5 at the next draft, it'll most likely be a better player, although it's still very early to tell with Dach being only 21 and just starting to produce at the NHL level.
