Colliton was too aggressive for the lineup. King was over his head.
I think Todd Nelson would have been a much better choice than Richardson. Nelson won in the minors, has NHL experience, and has paid his dues. Time will tell.

Looked ok there tonight throwing bombs with another big fellow .I don't care how bad he is you need those big bangers back there .Nobody liked Zadorov either but Sutter is Mc Lovin him these days. Calgary will round into shape and be tough come playoff time . And Zadorov will be in the thick of it .

Maybe Kane will decide to represent the Women's National team in the next Olympics.

You picked my brain. I was just thinking carolina. They are a sleeper team to win the cup, have young capital to trade and carolina isnt necessarily far from Chicago. Plus it's not too close to buffalo to cause problems for him. And its probably a somewhat quiet town for him to grow his family in.

I think at this stage - with the number of teams that are going to want to get into the first round or more up or whatever - that they kinda need to take what they can get.

They're not going to get equal value for any of these players and I don't think that nothing is much of an option at this stage.

Regardless of how good he is, I don't think a team is going to put up two firsts and a prospect for Kane on an expiring deal. The Giroux deal is probably what the expectation should be.

If the Kane is a prospect a first and a second and the second turns into the first if someone like the Oilers make the finals - I would be OK with that condition. And that is a team that kind of needs to win now and they have the draft capital to make it happen. Plus the LTIR space and under performer they can move to shed salary and get a huge upgrade.

Toews (or Kane for that matter) with Mangiapane coming back to even out the money and provide longer term relief. Coleman has a NMC which makes that tough or of course Lucic but again you get the NMC hurdle there as well. Daryl loves Toffoli but Toews or Kane for a year are probably a big improvement there.

Carolina is gonna have LTIR space and I'd think they would be aggressive. Certainly he Islanders could be an option. Not sure how the Rangers make the money work and Florida has no assets.

Maybe St Louis gets aggressive with one year left of ROR and the Russian but man I'd be sad if either of those guys went there.
