I assume you mean the media, because a few of us here have been throwing shade at them, for awhile.
- Reubenkincade

Of course, your HB rants are pretty irrelevant as no one in the actual hockey world knows who you are, and you have zero experience to draw on.

He's right...

“It’s inexcusable. It’s nothing to do with systems, or what the coaches are telling us, it comes down to battle and compete,” said Schenn.

You can try as hard as you can but if your group just isn't talented enough, it's not going to help you in the end. The Canucks have three NHL caliber defensemen, the other four are AHL talents...that's on Rutherford and Allvin. Not Bruce Boudreau!

Sure, however Boudreau goes first. Unless it's a stealth tank which is unlikely.

I’m wondering who your 3 are? Because I don’t think OEL or Myers are NHL defensemen at this point in their career anymore.

Myers is definitely an NHL dman. Hughes obviously for his offensive prowess and Luke Schenn is a good #6-7 on a decent team.

Hughes has good defense breaking up the rush and stopping opponents transition game. His issue is when they get hemmed in, he isn't strong enough to clear the net front presence or battle in the corners. But that also shouldn't be his job and coaches need to have a plan for that.

EDIT: Schenn and Hughes actually make one of the best shut down pairings in the league when you look at Money Puck.

I haven't even been the loudest ranter, just expressing my concerns and opinions, about the issues.

Does it really matter how it happens? We all want a tank. They are tanking.

Are we not happy?

Miller could score 99 points again and Horvat could score 60 goals. It still wouldn’t matter because this team can’t defend collectively. #Canucks

That sentiment goes for almost all of us lol. But we still need an outlet.

Yes and no. Tanking properly involves acquiring more draft picks. When that's accomplished, then we can say we're happy imo!

Jason Chaffetz

@jasoninthehouse
Shirt worn by US soccer coach at World Cup speaks volumes about a nation divided: commentary. Given an opportunity to unite us, Nike and Coach Berhalter seek to divide us. #NeverNike

A black-and-white Nike shirt that simply says, "STATES." Not "United" States. No red-white-and-blue. No eagles, no flag, no nothing. It’s as sterile as sterile can be.

American's are so (frank)ed. Mass shooting, let's make an article about a shirt.

I agree with your opinion on tanking and acquiring picks, especially when you have sweet fuck all in the prospect pool.

That is correct. Trying in the Dzone is part of it but it's time to look at who is and isn't decent at defending and get rid of who you can.

A quote from Jannik Hansen

“It’s the way these goals are scored. It’s individual mistakes, it’s not winning your one-on-one battle. And no coach, no matter who you’re talking about bringing in, is going to win that one-on-one battle behind your own net or in front of your net. He’s not going to box out for you or lift a stick in front,” Hansen said.
