History isn’t kind to teams who go this long without a point. Since 2000, 26 teams have had a streak of at least eight consecutive regulation losses. Of those, 17 finished the season last or second to last in the NHL standings. Of those 26 teams, zero made the playoffs, and the 2018-19 Blackhawks had the best finish at 18th in the NHL.
Girgensons should be back tonight.
Everything is fine..... - Boss34
If this team finishes last or 2nd last questioned need to be asked. |

Yeah, I still think it’s KC or Buffalo to come out of the AFC
Don’t trust Miami deep into the season yet. Cincy isn’t good, and Baltimore isn’t on the elite level |

Bills have to get healthier on D. What they've been dealing with all season is crazy and it doesn't seem like it's getting any better.

Going to my first game tomorrow.
Got a free ticket.
Should be interesting haven’t been in awhile.
A lot of people back in town. Will the arena be at least a little full? - ImThatGuy
Wednesday is gonna be a pretty full crowd.
Holiday atmosphere, good game to attend.
People bought tickets when we were 7-3 ☝️ |

So many jokes to make, so let's just ask: Is Girgs a part of most 8+ game losing streaks in NHL history? Quick look makes this look like his 5th. - Lunaion
It's not easy playing in a league for almost ten years, and never making the playoffs.
Have to admit the losses got worse without okposo and to some degree, great28.
I'm fine moving girgensons at the deadline for the standard 4 pieces.
1st (protected), nhl ready prospect, cap dump and a 2nd 🤔 |

Yep, the games around Thanksgiving will be fun no matter what. With all the drinking going on, if theyre losing, starting a "fire Adams" chant will be easy. We didn't even draft those two games just decided to both go to each.

I think they’ve been overly cautious, maybe to a fault with how they’re handling the injuries

Based on what I see of the ticketmaster map I'll say 13,000 - 15,000 for the games Wednesday and Friday. The fire Adams chant could be legendary against the Devils. |

Especially with the 90's night Wednesday.
Wish the Sabres could be less embarrassing.
Tickets were going for good $, until the tiny 8 game losing streak. |

This could be one of your better posts recently.
I was hoping it was a "tanking" or " eichel" curse.
I'd take the 4 nhl pieces and wish him luck |

Some risk of the nightmare scenario: team gives up on Donnie, can't fire him, Dahlin isn't open to an extension, Levi goes back to school.
Gotta turn this around soon.

Absolutely
I kinda get the idea with dahlin, he takes this as a challenge. He's just gonna work harder.
Its different than baby jack. Boston vs sweden up bringing.
8 x 11 keeps everyone happy and the "C" |

From his side, does signing an extension early make sense? Why not play out next season? Want 9 more years, before seeing significant improvement?

Good point.
Although the current moves by management with extensions (tage and samuelsson) leads me to believe, dahlin will be priority #1 this offseason. |

There's big differences....and his last deal was a clear signal that it won't be easy.

I have never, for one minute, allowed myself to believe Levi will come play for Buffalo. If he truly wanted it, he could be a millionaire starting NHL goalie right now. Doesn't want to pass up that 2nd year dominating college kids though. That's always been a facade to me. He wants nothing to do with Buffalo, just like Portillo.
Think of that for a second. Who would rather play at Northeastern than backstop an NHL team? Sad. Very sad. |

He must of thought about it, I'm of the belief he purposely took the team friendly deal. Management and coaching believes in him and that can go a long way with players. + I think he likes it here, as well as liking his teammates |
