They just put that line back together a couple games ago. Tallness is on fire right now but a few weeks ago some where calling him out.
- Buff36

They may have been but that was a bit silly. Tage didn't score his 1st point until game 3, but he's been rather consistent since then with bursts of straight fire added in.

For all the crap Krebs takes, he is about 1 of 4 players showing Heart on this team.
- Buff36

He gets up every time. Unfortunately, he's either a top 6 or not an NHLer. 30 games now I think without a goal. Unacceptable.

Edit: Most of those 30 games are also games in which the Sabres played well. It's only the last 8 where bed got shat.

Sabres have put a team on the ice with to many of the same style players. They don't make it hard on anyone. There D let's players stand around the net, damn they could have coffee if they wanted without any fear. 2 goals last night Tavares put his recliner in front and read the paper. They need to change the makeup of the team. They need a few more players (Rousek, Kulich) that aren't afraid to get dirty. I would even take Weissbach over a bunch. Guys a little rat on the ice that can shoot the puck. It's not even about hitting or fighting it's about making it hard on other teams, just putting bodies on people, dogging them down the ice, and yes occasionally sticking your neck out and actually making that Defender pay for going after that puck in some way. It's like being at the Beach playing the Sabres.

Weissbach has impressed me every time I've seen him. Of course, all against other prospects.

Krebs was never going to be a major goal scorer. He's a passer. And I don't really like him but they just don't have the makeup of lines that work with him. You were always gonna be lucky if he scored 20 but you were hoping his 50 assists would help that. He needs to be with a forecheck monster and a shooter.

What's the return on the Dahlin trade going to look like in a year? I hope we have a component GM at that point to execute it. Damn shame we'll be trading the best defensman in team history. That will be my Tom Seaver moment when I just break.

I think Tage is the next captain of this team. So impressed with what he's doing this season, his confidence with the puck. It he keeps that physical element in his game like we saw last night, sky is the limit for this guy.

Obviously Dahlin is in the conversation for the C as well. Really a shame we've chosen to waste both of their career years.

Funny they will bring Front loaders down clearing a street to get Bills players out, but we can't even get roads plowed in the neighborhood.

Thompson and Dahlin are really really good.
There is no way your team should have yet another long losing streak.
Your team defense is horrible.
Goaltending below average.
It's a mess.

They sure cashed in on vibes. Not sure why Terry was so reckless. Would think they've learned from all their mistakes.

zero chemistry for 5 on 5 play for bottom 3 lines

d is a hot mess

special teams bottom 1/3

goaltending stats bottom 1/4

this team is playing worse right now with power, tuch, quinn, krebs, peterka etc vs when we had eakins, hayden, pysyk, miller, butcher, hagg, bjork etc

It got so bad here during the Krueger years that any actual hockey coach who followed him was going to look like a miracle worker.

Granato managed to bring the team to a level where they were "in games" most nights, and even winning on occasion.

That was good enough for ownership to give an extension.

The bar is just so low here in Buffalo.

Agents of coaches and players must salivate over how easy it is to convince this ownership to dole out contracts.

Right now, it feels like the equivalent of extending Ralph after his first season.

If KA does just the GM basics in year 1, they are in a much better place. Ullmark along would make a big difference too.

100%.

Power and Dahlin together should never be a thing when your other two d-pairs are getting fed their lunch.

The coach has to own the crappy special teams and sub-optimal lineup decisions.

They played good at even strength to start the year and even that is fading.

There's a meme floating around twitter comparing Donnie to Art Howe in Moneyball. Funny and appropriate.
