I'm digging that 4th line...to my eyes the best looking line last night. They were on the road getting some tough matchups throughout the game and usually owned Minny's zone when on the ice. It was nice to see. - MattStrat
Archy sure looks comfortable when he gets a scoring chance. It’s weird how guys are type cast in the NHL. |

Try John Bowman. Excellent. - powerhouse
Tried to find this today at a few stores around me and could not. Picked up a bottle of Remus Repeal Reserve VI instead. |

The type casting part happens when you’re in your early 20’s and you skate fast and aren’t a wussy. But go on, impress us all with your knowledge of Bourbons as if that isn’t a bored mid life crisis. |

Lukashenko offering his analysis of McDonald's pulling out of Belarus: "We must do what this McDonald's used to... and do it better. What, we don't know how to cut a bun in half? And stuff a piece of meat, some potatoes and lettuce into it? God, who actually eats that."
Wait until he hears about the cole slaw.

It's not so much the record that is dire right now, more concerning is the overall team D, lack of speed, lack of good breakouts, inability to play well for more than half a game, bad goaltending, and certain important pieces looking like they retired already.
No doubt a decent winning streak would put us where we'd like to be, but I don't know how many of us believe that this team really has that in them the way they are currently playing. - Pags
I get all of that but despite all these issues you listed, which I agree with, they are 7-7-3 and only 3 points out of a playoff spot... So if they start improving in some of those areas and tightening up their game? I said 3 or 4 weeks ago they looked like a work in progress and perhaps that's to be expected with half the D being deployed brand new....we shall see what happens.

I gave him a hard time after he was signed, and to start the season, but I've warmed up to him for sure. I'll always have a soft spot for the guys who bring 110% every shift, every game. Balls to the walls guys. Hoping what I saw out of that 4th line the other night sticks. |

Pens have arguably had one of the harder schedules to start the season... 11 of 17 games on the road. Western Canada swing in first few weeks. Lots of home cooking further down the line... |

Explain to me in detail what has been dog poop about Archibalds game here in Pittsburgh. I’ll buy you a bottle of some overpriced alcohol. Maybe a Tyler Childers tee shirt. |

At this point we pretty much need a scorecard to keep up with "The World According To Billy". So far I've got...Sully sucks, Geno really, really sucks, Zucker sucks, manly men don't watch all the games but offer dumb opinions as if they did anyway, Carter/McGinn/Archibald are gods among the rest of the NHL, Bourbon sucks, Geno's points are all meaningless, and most of all, 99% of the earth's population are wussies.
Feel free to add as I'm sure I missed plenty more nuggets of higher intelligence. |

Yes. Good road period after a tough first 4 or 5 minutes. Hellebuyck looks great.

I don't think Rutta has been all that bad tbh. You don't need to spend that money on a 3rd pairing dman however. Dumo couldn't afford to lose a step and he has. |
