It's a good sign that they have the capability to turn it up, but not such a good sign that we know that because they are making a habit of sleepwalking through the 1st period. They have to find a way to get going from the opening faceoff.

Perhaps it’s time to start the games with the energy line again. Set the tone

How do we feel about Erik Karlsson? Playing like the guy who used to take over games again... 32 years old. Making a lot but My guess is they would eat some of that to move him.. any interest?

Most likely not…..but like when you watch Texas hold ‘em on tv and the percentage to win rises when a person gets their card, if Bailey is scratched for a 3rd game this rumor has real legs

Love that he's back to his old self, but we have 3 RHD and that seems like a luxury purchase at the moment. Focus, if any, should be adding a forward
- eichiefs9

Agreed. A top 6 forward should be the team's top priority at this point

Meh, the energy line looks like it needs a bit of a recharge a lot of nights

He’s had a weak Va gina since being drafted. Truth be told Parise and Palmieri have taken his spot in so far as their consistent pt production and play

True but they are still the best line to get the puck deep and cycle.

So why not have his point production as well? It’s definitely better than Ross the Boss’s.

Your statement is the exact reason why the “healthy scratch” doesn’t make sense

I agree, because he’s got an injury
We will know soon enough. Again remember last season Palms was a healthy scratch and then he was put on IR about a week later. So this could be the same scenario.

Well, obviously, with Bailey being one of our best players ever they’re hiding that he has an injury. We don’t need opposing teams targeting one of our budding stars during the regular season. He may be injured and they are trying to figure out the severity? I don’t know or maybe he’s scratched. I will say I doubt they’re shopping him because nobody would take him unless he’s part of a bigger trade and he’s the cap dump. It’s Lameriello so nobody really knows but I would bet pretty much everything I have that our GM has tried to unload that contract for at least the last couple of years…

Hahah it’s not a good sign when you’re being passed up for a 6 min a night Johnston.

Hypothetically if they were to unload Bailey they’d have 8.5 million to shop. It kinda makes sense to lock up Horvat, but what do I know.

Who knows what Horvat told the team with regard to him leaving in free agency. The Canucks could replace his numbers while getting a prospect and a pick.

Anything is possible but again, coach coming out with the statement about Bailey is a little suspect to me. Clearly I’m not the only one seeing the possible trade, because coach addressed it.

Like I said he would be part of a bigger package due to his salary. All due respect to Bailey but nobody wants him he would just be a cap dump so I’m not sure that shopping him would be the right description. It would be something like our first, Raty and or Dufor, and Bailey. Doubt it’s happening he’s either a healthy scratch or for some reason, that I can’t understand, they are hiding his injury. The only reasoning I have that is they’re not sure of the severity of his injury. It’s the regular season there’s zero reason to hide an injury imo other then the reason I just gave you.

Like you said previously, noones targeting Josh Baileys injury. I find it hard to believe they’re hiding an injury.
For us, Bailey has worn out his welcome so to speak, especially with the play of Parise and Palmieri. But, he’s an elite passer and maybe he’s got worth to another team.
Gonna be real interesting to see the lineup Saturday night.

Friedman on 32TP on the Canucks: "I think he's listening to everything, I think their only untouchables are Pettersson and Hughes, I think everybody else he'll listen to".

well that is certainly interesting.

Bailey stinks and we finally have a coach who is calling him out on it... he's not hurt. He doesn't have a nagging injury, and his point production doesn't make up for his glaring mistakes every single game.

He is soft in the D-zone, show zero urgency, makes absurdly dumb plays for a veteran, and he is a bad example for any of the younger players who you are trying to instill a certain cense of responsibility and 2 way play.

My favorite 2 games to attend in the future will be when we raise another banner, and we have a tribute video for that turd returning on another team. I will cheer and even sing his stupid song.

Oooh Aaaah

If he continues to play the way he is there’s a need for a player like him on any team. With that said the guy makes 11.5 million per and is signed till 2027. There’s no chance of this happening, like zero.

This right here is the most likely scenario and I find it more fun to talk about this then him being traded.

The season is a month old lets pump the brakes lol. He is having a great start but he is 32 making 11.5 million for the rest of this season and 4 more after this. No way they should take on that contract especially when they are already solid on the D side of things.
