Yeah I’m usually a loyal guy to the end of the game. But they opened so flat I actually thought they didn’t have it in them to come back. The pesky isles are resilient. They’re gonna have to come out wanting it more on Saturday night. Stars are also a great club.

Be interesting to see if Bailey sits a third straight game. If he does I have to believe he’s being shopped. It’s a fair amount of salary being sat, with no injury. Also, a game or two sitting teaches a lesson…..a third game screams something is up

I suspect Bailey will be back in. Johnston played 9 shifts for a total TOI of 6:12 last night and that's just stupid. I don't love Bailey, but he's more valuable than Johnston. Doubly-so if Johnston only plays 6 min

Yeah i dont disagree, which is why i said if Bailey sits for a third straight game we can make an argument that somethings up. You can't argue going with Johnston for XYZ reasons and then only play him 6 min. 5 million off the books opens up many doors for Lou.

Man was that frustrating to watch. They just ran out of time and took 2 Meh penalties at the wrong time. annoying that they scored enough to come back in the 3rd but the Mayfield trip cost them another goal... just was too big a hole they dug themselves into in the first period.

Not sure why this team continues to come out so flat...

the shift with Brock centering Beau and Barzal kinda set them on fire though... just saying.

They had all the momentum when Mayfield took that penalty At the end of the day you can't keep coming out of the gate game after game looking like you don't want to be there. They have to figure out these slow starts ASAP!!

I think Bailey has a nagging injury that hasn’t been disclosed.

Ehhh I’m not buying that. That’s an easy thing to be vague about. “Upper or lower body injury”. Not like it’s the playoffs and lips are super tight. Also, Lambert deflecting with the old “Josh is a very important part of this club moving forward” line isn’t doin it for me.

Judging by his hesitancy to shoot, I’m gonna guess wrist.

Barzals penalty at the 3 min mark was ill timed as well. I feel like if he hadnt taken that penalty the isles woulda tied it 5 on 5.

Certainly felt that way, they were controlling the play big-time at that point

Def a good sign of the team when they are able to turn it on when need be. The isles of old when down in the score got deflated. This team has real fight in them.

Lou doesn’t disclose anything and either will anyone else. Palms was scratched last year to the joy of Twitter GM’s and then placed on IR after the issue didn’t heal.
I’m gonna say that Bailey being scratched is the same.
Just my opinion of course but Johnston’s hockey ability other than fighting isn’t adding a thing over Josh being in the lineup.

I cant argue the Lou point. But, its the coach's diversion with the "Bailey is in the future plans..." line that did it for me. Also the 2 game scratching, with Shoshnikov being waved.....gives the conspiracy theory some pulse.

Then again i was convinced Gaudreau was coming to Long Island because he knew Lou Lam previously, and now theyre saying they didnt even speak lol. So clearly i know squat

Isles at 11-7 sitting at #7 overall with 3 tough games in front of them before the T-Giving milestone. To Win all 3 would send a strong message and hit 14 - 7.

Coaching needs to watch some tape and have a game plan in place for the next 3 Games.

How do we feel about Erik Karlsson? Playing like the guy who used to take over games again... 32 years old. Making a lot but My guess is they would eat some of that to move him.. any interest?

Most likely not…..but like when you watch Texas hold ‘em on tv and the percentage to win rises when a person gets their card, if Bailey is scratched for a 3rd game this rumor has real legs

It's a good sign that they have the capability to turn it up, but not such a good sign that we know that because they are making a habit of sleepwalking through the 1st period. They have to find a way to get going from the opening faceoff.

Love that he's back to his old self, but we have 3 RHD and that seems like a luxury purchase at the moment. Focus, if any, should be adding a forward
