He better be - Vukota
Gonna be a goalie battle tonight. Preds are starting to lock poop down, and Saros is starting to Saros.
That said, the final score will probably be 6-5. |

Certainly sounds like Ross Johnston is remaining in tonight's #Isles lineup at #Predators with Josh Bailey remaining out of the lineup.

Going in order of most likely to least likely, in my opinion:
- Lambert actually does want size in the lineup
- Lambert recognizes Bailey is not playing well enough to be in the lineup and is being nice by saying he wants Johnston in for size/toughness
- Bailey is dinged up and they just want to let him rest a little
- He has a private personal issue going on that they don't want to announce
- They're shopping him and/or are working to finalize a deal |

If Bailey can play in the postseason where it's super physical then he can play against Ottawa and Nashville.
If he's banged up they would probably announce it and if it were for personal issues he wouldn't be with the team on the trip
I would love it to be that they are trying to make a trade but idk this early in the season. (Would be awesome if so)
I think him playing bad and not embarrassing him is the most likely senario |

Yeah I highly, highly doubt that they're working on a trade. The only thing that makes it a non-zero chance in my mind is that they sent Soshnikov down for, seemingly, no real reason.
I don't actually think it's a personal issue, but I do think that's more likely than a trade
I know Bailey is capable of handling the more physical games, but it may just be a combination of Lambert being more comfortable with Johnston in the lineup and the fact that Bailey isn't playing very well. He's on pace for a 27pt season over 82gms, so that seems like the most likely scenario. |

The last couple of seasons the games vs the Preds have been pretty nasty and I think the Boss gives them protection if it starts to get nasty again. Yes playoffs are very physical, but they really don't fight. This is more about matching their toughness more than Bailey not being able to handle a heavy check |

My guess is he just wants to play and if it doesn't work out in BP he is going back to Russia. |

#Isles Lou Lamoriello said he was fairly confident Nikita Soshnikov would clear waivers. Chance for him to play some games with Bridgeport (AHL). No corresponding move at this time so Isles will have a 22-man roster for now |

I agree even though a loss tonight I think you'll see Josh back in for Ross on Saturday unless Beau stinks up the joint tonight and Lane wants to send a message to him |

Pretty much. If he isn't putting up points, he is absolutely useless out there. Doesn't hit, doesn't kill penalties, doesn't do much of anything else besides the occasional really nice pass or goal - Vukota
I mean he's on pp2 and the pk but yea
Lane "Josh I know you're our assistant captain and have played over 1000 games with this organization but you pee sitting down and we can't have that the next three games" |

Hoping for Beau to go on a streak but the guy has to know he’s probably the next one out if that doesn’t happen. Playing with a target on his back. |
