I recinded that and based on his pts he’s a great addition to any team. His skating is his weakness and that def doesn’t compliment Barzals style. I would like to see someone on barzals wing who can keep up
- kindlyrick

Fair enough. Lee isn't pretty but he gets the job done. I would like to see somebody who can keep up with him on the other wing that could also score consistently

He is terrible at face offs, he is not very good at back checking or defense in general. he doesn't block shots... all of those I see as a prototypical Center. Having him on the Wing would actually use his speed more b/c he would be generally closer to the blue line in the D-zone and as soon as you get possession he can take off.. This doesn't mean I am going to change anything he does on offense.

I get it I just don't like the idea

Hes not great at d but he's down low and battles and can skate it out which is huge. Faceoffs are terrible though
- Upstate_isles

He has certainly gotten better, but I think Battles is aggressive. More like .. Reaches with his stick to try to take away the puck. I don't ever see him tying a guy up on a back check.. or at least Rarely do I remember seeing him do it.

I've been wrong before. He could turn out to be the best Center ever.. and until we make a trade to get a 1C (or 2C and move BN up) it doesn't matter, but I will say this.. the few shifts that Lane put him and Brock together were friggin Fantastic.

My guess is that Lou tried to create cap space, and while doing so, word got out about it, and people correctly assumed that he wanted to make an offer for Gaudreau. But the ask for taking Bailey or whomever was too high, so Lou saw no point in calling Gaudreau or his agent. So the usual suspects had Lou in on Gaudreau even though he really wasn't. I dunno. That's all I got.

Lee isn't the greatest skater or puck transporter but the man is a (frank)ing animal on the wall in the corner and in front of the net. His hand eye is unreal in front and for my money he's the best net front guy in the league. Amazing captain too he will battle and fight if need be and just has a ton of intangibles

I'm on the verge of booking a trip to see the Isles out in Arizona & Vegas. I can't get myself to pull the trigger. It's going to cost me a fortune

Lee is an absolute piece to the puzzle and I’d argue one of if not the best net presence in the league. I just can’t grasp not giving Barzal the winger he deserves. If it means trading Wahlstrom, a prospect and a first I’m all for it (for the right fit)

Bo Horvat is done in Vancouver. Be curious to know the ask.

No way I think watching an NHL game in small place like that would be awesome. That's part of the reason why I'm going

Hypothetically speaking, who among the league qualify as such in your opinion?

Qualify as elite talent? The top 50 players in the league, of which the isles have 1 only. I guess the real question is name me a stanley cup contending team that doesn't have a 1-2 punch of elite talent?
