I’d start with the most coveted players and get bidding wars going. That’s a very different approach from the losing trades the Canucks have made over the past decade.

Tell me how many trades (frank)ed this team where the Canucks were the ones selling compared to the ones where the Canucks were the ones trying to buy/target a specific player.

- Nucker101

Canucks don't sell because they never create any sort of value. They devalue their own players constantly.

Other teams are constantly getting decent value for worse players. Management needs to figure out which players are the problem.

Selling players that are going to cost you an asset to get rid of makes no sense because what if they aren't the problem.

Only OEL and Millers contract are going into never never land. Those would be the only 2 it would make sense to add anything to. The rest should be sold off when contracts are near expiration or if someone gives excess value.

I like how Bruce is trying to help management out by increasing the value of Boeser, unfortunately, his value is dropping, every time he does sfa on the ice, which is just about every single game.
His value has gone from a 2nd round pick, all the way down to retaining salary and a 5th.
I think if they keep trying to up his value, he should be worth 50%retention and a 1st, for future considerations just to get rid of him.

Makes sense.
Unfortunately moving Demko is rushing the rebuild.

There's a bridge outside of Brandon that gets run into at least 5 times a year for about 20 years. They have signs, they have laser beams and flashing lights, warnings. The fine now is a years suspension for your licence I believe.

No point in burning out an elite goalie if the defence in front is going to play this bad.

Bruce; those were 2 pucks over the glass and 1 playing with a broken stick, those aren't physical penalties.

This season has barely started and it’s already over. At least we have the draft or do we?

Congrats! You take the trophy again 🏆 🛀 🧂. Those players don’t have positive trade value. They suck and I’m pretty sure there is a salary cap.

McDavid is a modern day offensive version of Mario Lemieux, he will probably go down as a top three offensive talent in NHL history.

Will he ever be able to play good enough both ways to win a cup?

If the paychecks start bouncing and the team moves to 8 rinks in Burnaby then yes

Dhaliwal: "Many people I talked to on the weekend were very surprised Rutherford did not meet with Bo Horvat's agent, Pat Morris, Saturday in Toronto...its not completely accurate that the Canucks and Morris have not talked in months. There has been dialogue, but not much progress".

—————-

As much as I meme about Bo, it’s pretty funny and bizarre that this team’s best player this year and captain is seemingly not that high of a priority.

Gives me a sliver of hope that they’re leaving he possibility open for a big roster shakeup.

A lot of defensively inept players from the 80’s won a lot of Cups.

Bo is 1 of the few players on this team that is acceptable, but he needs to go, in order to start the complete teardown.

Yes. If they let him walk or trade him, they can no longer convince fans or even themselves that this team is going to be a playoff team next year or the year after. Start planning years ahead because they aren’t winning poop anytime soon
