These girls are going to have to play their hearts out, the French defense has worried me all week.

He’s a bit of a tool, for sure, however, you can’t deny the revenue growth under him. Exceeded 5 billion in 2018/19 for the first time, then Covid hit.
- Pacificgem

Just imagine how much higher that revenue would be if they didn't have shithole Arizona bringing them down

Here's an interesting piece that really breaks down how the Canucks' defensive woes start with the forwards.

Intuitively, I've sensed that they're not "playing as a team" defensively. There are a bunch of clips here that show how that shows on the ice.

Thanks for posting this, I finally got a chance to read it this morning, dealing with snow most of yesterday.
Nice work by Jason as well. One of the better analysts when it comes to breaking down plays all over the ice.
In regards to how the Canucks forwards make so many mistakes, all I can say is, when you can't figure out how to make a line change, you won't figure out the more detailed parts of the game, that are usually taught by the pee-wee level, or whatever it is called now.

@Lefty
How many clips was your boy Pouty in?

So no structure is the problem and that’s the players or coaches fault?

At this point it's kind of both but mostly on the players. It's 2/3 the same roster as last year. But in Boudreau's defence (lol) he had to deal with 5 new forwards and a few new D men to implicate. On paper, the team looked better but the loss of Motte and Richardi were bigger than expected. Plus the energy of Highmore and Lammiko hasn't been replaced. Enter in Mikheyev Kuzmenko Lazar Joshua Aman Stillman and a few others it's a pretty big roster change that hasn't really provided chemistry yet. Nik and Kuz are coming around. But we have zero 4th line energy at present. Which is something this club needs badly as well as a few D men. I'm sure there are a few 975K players out there we can add to the 4th line lol.

It was frustrating to see the same basic mistakes being made year in and year out, under different coaches, different management.
It's all foam brick worthy.

Twins were great. Luongo however not sure he belongs in the HOF. No Vezina No cup and horrible playoff numbers. But his reg. season stats are crazy good and close to 19 years. Tough one on Lou.
