It shouldn't take long to see the tools a player has.

The knock is sort of the same as that tournament though, can score but he doesn't make use of his teammates and tries to do everything himself. Not going to happen at higher levels unless your name is McJesus.

Bold sounds like a lot of Canuck players though. Resonating through the entire organization from Benning trying to do everything, to the players now. Maybe a philosophy change came last year in the management area but that might take time to implement different values.

I think Linus Karlsson is a good example of a player being put in good positions to succeed and improve. Sounds like he might even get a shot in the NHL this year.

If they trade for Zaitsev I’m done. He’s literally the second worst defenseman in the NHL. That would give the Canucks the two worst defenders in the league.

He reminds me too much of Virtanen.

Good point.

Anyways heading in for a triple time shift today can we all please Pause-Reflect-Remember of the sacrifices made in the past so that we can have our basic freedoms today that we all take for granted.

New Canucks D pairings, too. Looks like Stillman in for Rathbone, and Burroughs still on the outside.

Hughes-Myers
OEL-Bear
Stillman-Schenn

Isn't that what we all want though? To tank, to trade assets and get something in return for taking on worse contracts?

Well if we’re getting sweeteners that’s different, but if they think he’s going to help solve their defensive issues…

That's what happens when you have a team of selfish individuals who can't play together.

Conor Garland down and in serious pain at practice. Fell awkwardly in puck battle by boards. Still on the bench for now. Wrist/hand/arm?

Edit; He's back on ice.

Yeah

There are a few that seem to have chemistry together more often that not. To get the rest of the team going though, those players seemingly need to be split up.

Kuzmenko Petey Mikky have held their heads above water.

All other lines are struggling.

lol which is fine I just find it funny the one-sided nature of how folks look at our club and don't think the same stuff affects other clubs. Tit for Tat.

If we are sending Myers and getting positive assets like Docker and a pick I am ok with it. It would be no different than weaponizing cap. Which is something you get pissed off we don't do.

Yeah, I meant sending a pick or a player in the doghouse to “upgrade” the D.

He’s worse than Myers, contract expires the same time, and the savings is only 1.5 mil/ season

New blog is up: Pearson's injury, Mikheyev's good D, Rathbone back out and Henrik missing Friday's HHOF events.
