Yotes are doing a marvelous job of clogging the slot and chasing their man

Yup what ever we didn’t shoot wide they blocked.

Well hate to say it but the good start with nothing to show killed them as it tends to do and yotes played well

I will be AT THE GAME, and I want to make the same disclaimer.

This is Scammo's fault. He should be forbidden form attending any other Islanders game.

Our shooting was abysmal this game. Gotta beat these teams on your home ice, no excuse.

Agreed. Getting shutout at home against an inferior team is unacceptable. The Rangers hangover strikes again. Next up CBJ. That should be a loud one with JG coming to town

Honestly that the best I’ve seen the yotes play in years. Blocked shots, clogged lanes, gap control, worked hard, goalie made timely saves. Isles were off but that AZ team
Showed up tonight.

Calling Captain Lee - now is your time.

He’s done his job this season. Time for some of the other boys to pull their weight.

There are so many things wrong with this, 24 shots against a team that leads the NHL in shots against with 462!

24 shots against was the lowest count Arizona has seen all season so far.

What are we missing when it comes to reviewing game tape?

Barzal was pretty awful last night but that had a lot to do with how well the coyotes played. Their man to man coverage was probably the best we’ve seen all season. Along the same lines of what the Redwings did to us when we played them recently. The amount of shots wide last night were ridiculous. I get it they couldn’t get anything low by the guy so they were shooting high on him but wow it was unbelievable. Have to give the Yotes credit they played a great game and we didn’t have an answer for it.

fifteen games in, sitting in third place in Metro at 9-6. Last ten games 7-3. Scoring close to .75 more goals per game than last season, not sure of goals against but Sorokin has been a beast, so I'm guessing that's close to last year. Overall, +11 goal differential. I'd take being in third overall at the end of the season. Let's see where we are in a couple of weeks at Thanksgiving. But overall, happy with the results so far.

My thoughts exactly. Redwings and Coyotes pretty much played the same game against us. Can’t win every game. By thanksgiving/early December we’ll have a better understanding of what this team is but they’ve played pretty good so far.

I came to the realization last night that Ryan Pulock is the defenseman version of Kyle Okposo. Great shot, can't get it on net 65% of the time

Seriously, that one replay with him walking down the slot and he misses the net was so infuriating. (even Butch lost his $#!t reviewing it)

Anytime this team comes out on fire with lots of chances in the first with nothing to show they wither away and lose. Seems like it's been that way for years and yet after a slow first they get better as the game goes on
