I am relegated to watching islander game highlights. If I was the regular game broadcast they loose. I wait and watch the highlights they win.

I will keep doing this as long they keep winning.

I appreciate your sacrifice. Arizona up next have just won 2 in a row.. so let's not overlook your superstitions b/c you think they stink.

There were a list of guys not doing anything last night early.... Beau was pretty far down on that list..
1. Josh... oooh ahhh.. looked like his controller was disconnected for most of the game. Gave the puck away numerous times, left his D-man hung out to dry a few times by not moving at all when they had the puck behind net, and a few of Beau's problems were when Bailey gave the puck away on a break out he had to scramble back to try and get back on defense and took a penalty.
2. Wahlstrom was friggin horrific in this game. He didn't skate, gave puck away at least once and failed to get the puck a ton, and he took one terrible penalty and almost cost us game winner on another...
3. did Martin even play in this game?
4. Aho.. enough said.

Beau had a take away, had a couple of shots, his penalty was b/c Bailey sux.
amazing how Beau seems to play well when on better lines.. no?

I included wally on the list with Beau as wally has been pretty putrid. Beau played a ton with barzal in the past and still didn't produce that much. If pageau Palms and Parise are your 3rd line then Beau can't be a top 6 guy and needs to be upgraded imo. Aho does suck too I think they should have grabbed Riley from the bruins. Bailey has never looked like he's done a ton yet the players and coaches all rave about him so he gets a pass from me even though he can be frustrating

Whalstrom and Bailey were terrible last night. I hope we move them both ++ for a Center.

very lucky on winning goal that Wally wasn't called for a trip.

I was sitting in the 100's and I had a great view of the Isles bench, and you could see Lambert was upset with Wally a couple of times. After one brutal turnover Lambert looked up to the ceiling like he wanted to explode

He’s having a rough stretch. I honestly haven’t liked Romanov’s game lately. He has been either invisible or visible in a bad way the last few games. Had a few blunders last night in the first and second.

He has had his moments for sure but he is still young and does a lot of the dirty work that is needed so he gets a pass from me

Hasn’t really had much of a physical game lately either. I mean we’re winning so who cares but was looking forward to that mofo laying (frank)ers out.

He was always going to be a bit of project, he's only 22 and 22yo's being as good as Dobson are pretty rare. I like him overall so far and he really hasn't been a major liability despite getting top-four minutes (he's actually 2nd overall in TOI/GP at even strength)

Definitely room to improve, which is a good thing, but I still like the trade and his game overall.

Yeah don’t get me wrong I don’t dislike the guy just noticed a down turn in his game.

I assume like most young defensemen he'll have his peaks and valleys. But even during a down-period he hasn't been a problem. Could definitely be better but it's a good sign that when he's not playing well things are still pretty OK.

I think down the line he becomes kind of a super-Mayfield for us

unrelated edit: I'm liking Aho's game a little more. He's clearly always going to be a defensive liability but he's playing well in the offensive zone. He's probably not an ideal long-term solution but that's a good dynamic to have on the 3rd pair as long as they can mitigate the level of talent he's out there against

Looks like the Flyers are seeing what we all saw in Bellows. 3 games not even a shot on goal and has been scratched the last couple of games

That's the hope

Still think that spot might be filled best by an affordable vet if they keep playing like they're going to earn a playoff spot. Long way to go, but Aho out there in a playoff games would probably make me a little nervous

He stinks. AHL player with an NHL shot, that's literally it.

I definitely think that's going to happen at some point. They need a bottom pairing vet and another forward IMO. Lou & Lambert will be running out of patience with Wally he keeps this shat up

Yeah Wahlstrom hasn't looked great lately. I honestly get the feeling that he's as dumb as a brick. I think he's a much better player than Bellows is but I also think he's got two brain cells that are fighting each other for third place

Ive been getting that impression lately also

He takes some absolutely horrible, meaningless, penalties at the worst times. He keeps that up he’ll be out of the lineup more often then not.

Watch Wahlstrom lose his spot to Holmström.
