Tage Thompson will be fine as a top 2 center on this team going forward. I absolutely do not expect him to keep up on this pace, though. He's just not surrounded with enough talent to do so.

I honestly don't have that much of a problem with Cozens's game. The problem is that if you're going to build a team this way, you need another center of his caliber or better. Even when/if Cozens hits his ceiling, you're not going to be that good of a team with just him and Thompson up the middle. You need at least 3 guys of that caliber. Maybe Savoie can be #3, but odds are that guy isn't in the organization yet.

Then Adams is a failure and should be fired. Not much room there for discussion. There's not a prospect in the system off limits unless youre talking Owen Power. How on Earth did Adams get extended?

Adams needs to hold a presser and explain why making the playoffs is, again, not a priority. He needs to assure us goaltending is the organizations top priority going forward. Is he afraid of the media? He had no problems taking his victory laps while the prospect tournament was going on. Maybe he doesn't realize he has an NHL team?

what if any indications has Tage showed this year that he will not be able to keep up the pace? He is strong on the puck, can skate like the wind, has great hand and vision and can shoot the puck upwards of 100 MPH.

I just don't get the Tage is not a #1 center argument. He most certainly is and when paired with Tuch and Skinner he has more than enough talent surrounding him.

Not built to win this year. He was very clear on it, and has stayed the course.

Statistically improving and showing signs of growth should be the bar.

Competing for playoff hockey should be the bar.

Look I want to win just like the rest of you, but when you sign 2 back ups to be the starters that tells me that growth of the youngins is the objective this year, not winning and so far I have seen a ton of growth from some forwards.

I still think we end up 80-90 pt range which would so real growth but until we get AVERAGE goaltending we are not gong to be making playoff appearances.

I think you need to watch Tage in person. He is not a very good center.

Yes, I agree he stacks up some PP goals and stuff.

Teams listen to its fans, they read the internet and blogs, see Boston signing Miller and then cutting him in 24 hours because of the fan backlash.

There is a very really apathy with this team and people Lose interest daily and for diehards like us, because let’s face it, no casual fan is posting here on HB. we are left with a team that has zero pressure to be anything other than “average”

The easy part of the job is done. Selling is easy. Now he needs to build it and spend the right value on the right players.

I wouldn’t have extended him yet, but that’s not my call. He should be given at minimum another year to see this plan through.

This year is Developing, whatever, I’d like to see more done to improve the big club but it is what it is at this point.

Next year is playoffs or bust for me, end of story.
