Sure,
but my point is that the team in front of the goaltending projects to improve as they develop
Idk how we can say that with the goalies we currently have (Comrie/Anderson)
Hopefully some of the kids we have coming can develop into the goaltending we need,
bc we currently aren’t getting enough - jdfitz77
Will just reiterate that average for 3.3m is better than you should expect.

Idk that the goaltending is what we should “expect” for 3.3mil
I’m focused on getting the goaltending we NEED
And if that means spending more $$$ in net, then we have plenty of Cap space to do that |

Yes I’m ok with Comrie as a flyer and I’m rooting for him but not having a #1 goalie is unacceptable with the current cap room. Not he biggest problem tonight but his numbers are what they are. Enough with this ‘development year’ let’s compete. |

Easier said than done
But the bottom line is that our goaltending still appears to be up in the air moving forward |

This team still needs a top 6 center and winger, a top 4 defenseman and a legit goalie. |

You’re not wrong
I just wonder how many ppl actually thought this team was “ready” as is though?
Bc no one should’ve thought that
1C we might have
At the least, we can project to having 3 guys that are (or will be soon) of 2C quality
We also have wingers developing & more talented forwards on the way
Defense is a bit of a question that we’ll have a much better idea about as this season moves along
Goalie is the big one that we need to take care of
Comrie has been “ok” overall- at best
That’s not good enough to get us remotely close to where we wanna be
And there’s just no way to know how the kids are gonna work out in net |

Good ole Peyton Krebs with his 5th game of the season and second in a row without a shot on net. BUST. Go back Rochester, kid, you're not an NHLer this year.
It's honestly tough to play 11 games and not have a shot in 5 of them. I think Z train had 3 shots in the 1st period last night. |

Maybe you should tell Adams that, cause he should have been focusing on that the last 3yrs. |

That's been my consistent gripe.
Just flamed Comrie and Krebs on WGR. 6:15am call start for those using audacy. |

We new what Comrie is and was HOPE that maybe he could continue his growth from last year. Arizona took a chance on there goalie last year, Sabres could have signed him too, and he has been decent for them. |

I'm ready for UPL. I know the Rochester numbers are terrible, but his limited NHL numbers aren't. The season is on the brink right now. We need wins in the next two games. If I'm Meatballs I'm giving Anderson my best William Wallace Braveheart speech. We need him Thursday and Saturday night. I don't know if he can do that anymore.
Tough spot. All created by the GM. |

Pretty much, think it's one of his biggest failures was not getting a good goalie. And UPL is getting shelled down there most nights. See where it goes |

Hopefully Savoie keeps developing. Cozens, Mittelstadt and Krebs have all disappointed as possible 2C candidates.

Comrie isn’t the problem.
Cozens tipped in 2 goals
A pass cross to a wide open coyote isn’t on Comrie.
And I forgot the last one.
Analytics did fine with Comrie. - Sabretooth9

Cozens or JJ haven't been the same since Donnie broke them up. Donnie is sacrificing combos that work together to try and get certain players rolling. Sometimes those players need to be removed and someone else given a shot. |

Sabres have a plethora of prospects to look at. If Krebs isn't ready then swap him and Rousek or Kulich and see if they fit in the puzzle. Doesn't mean you have given up on Krebs. |

Was winning ever the primary concern for this season?
Doesn't seem so by the moves management made and didn't make.
I'm not even sure winning is a top 3 concern for them. |

If Krebs had this much game tape on him when the Sabres were looking to make the trade with Vegas, would Vegas have been so resistant to adding him to the deal? Would Buffalo have been insistent he be included in the deal?
The point: As Nolan used to say, prospects become suspects, and getting the timing right on that is far from easy. |

I honestly don't have that much of a problem with Cozens's game. The problem is that if you're going to build a team this way, you need another center of his caliber or better. Even when/if Cozens hits his ceiling, you're not going to be that good of a team with just him and Thompson up the middle. You need at least 3 guys of that caliber. Maybe Savoie can be #3, but odds are that guy isn't in the organization yet.

Cozens at best is a 2C. His max potentially. We are missing a number 1 center.
Savoie has a higher potential than cozens and would be a 1C. Time will tell. Long way to go on him

If you are hating on Krebs. Quinn should also follow
Problem is. They are too good for the AHL and need to get up to NHL speed. The only way to do that is by playing NHL games |

I think we have a #1 Center his name is Tage.. 8 goals, 8 helpers, 16 points in 13 games, how much more production do you want from a #1 Center.
he has more points then" the one that shall not be named) 16 vs 15 and that other #1 generational talented center has played 1 more game then Tage.
