We'll be saying that 365 days from now.

And, people will still think Adams is a pro.

Generally curious how many fans will be in for Vegas.

The emotion game was last year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the building half full at best again.

From the ticketmaster map it looks like 15k + a good crowd for sure.

What goalie stops any of the goals he let in tonight?

They get fans To go and boo Eichel, not to watch the Sabres. Hockey heaven baby.

Any of the goals were stoppable. Yes, they were all flukey too, but they all could have been stopped by a better goalie. That's what he gets paid for: to make the tough saves. Anyone can make routine saves. You make money to stop the tough ones.

The Bruins game will be a sell out Saturday. Could be a great night or an awful one.

A couple things:

Bruins fans travel. I'll bet i see between 2 and 3k Bs fans at the game.
Hockey fiights cancer night for the Sabres.

With the Bruins start we might even see more of them than usual.

In general,
do u think our goaltending is good enough to be a playoff team & give us a chance to win in the playoffs?

I don’t

The bigger problem is the defense

The wide open pass across goal to start the game. Perfect example of how it isn’t comries fault and how the defense left him out to dry. Hasek or Miller in their primes let that in.

No samuelsson hurts.

That guy is really good, though, even though most of us never heard of him. The few games I’ve seen, he has been hard to get one past.

Our defense is extremely young
We have- at minimum- what we think are 3 key building blocks to a great defense
Need a partner for Power, & time for Power to develop
That doesn’t just happen at the snap of our fingers-Power has played only 20 career games after all

Moving forward, i think the defense is in good shape
Goaltending is still quite the question mark imo

When you sign 2 UFA G's for 3.3m combined and get average play, you've done well. Team overall is very average. Would take Vezina goaltending to carry them anywhere.

There is a reason that they were able to get Comrie for under 2 million a year.

This goes back to they didn’t want to get a goalie for more than 2 years because they want to give the net to Levi

Comrie is playing at a below average level.

Both his gaa and sv % rank him 48th this year so far.

As our youth grows & develops, the current goaltending we have will hold us back
Needs to be better

Comrie has a save% under .900
That’s not good enough, no after how many fancy stats u try to use

Are expected goals still considered fancy? Gets referenced during every broadcast now. Middle of the pack team getting average goaltending. Can spin that either way. Nothing is really good enough atm.

Sure,
but my point is that the team in front of the goaltending projects to improve as they develop

Idk how we can say that with the goalies we currently have (Comrie/Anderson)
Hopefully some of the kids we have coming can develop into the goaltending we need,
bc we currently aren’t getting enough
