Do you think that kid stopped at 14, or did it continue on?
Also, 1 of the kids from the world juniors hasn't been signed, and he is an NHL level player( Alex Formenton)
I assume the league has something to do with that.
MacTavish situation was in a different era, kinda like how goons are frowned upon nowadays.

Different era for sure. The vast majority of players in the 80’s-2000’s would be cancelled today. They did far worse and everyone looked the other way. I know of a ton of stories from an old cop about the 80’s oilers. Cops were ordered to ignore a ton of poop they did. Even the great one got away with a lot.

And yes saying the kid did it when he was 14 is not accurate. It went on for years and years.

By all accounts, yes.
The kid wouldn't even give a proper apology.
Good on the players for voicing their concerns about this situation.

Did you go to math camp with Donny?

It’s in quotations which means I copied and pasted it.

He might mean only 18% of the total contract was actually guaranteed, which would be the 10 million?

As I said, I don’t know a lot of specifics surrounding the kid. But you’re right, you don’t change a leopard spots, I think it’s more reflection of his probable poor up-bringing and his parents.

Disagree. It’s the old nature vs nurture argument. I know many kids with great parents that turned out like poop and vice versa. People are who they are. Despite their upbringing.

True, I think both scenarios can be right. I just read yesterday where his father said it wasn’t as bad as the victims mother was making it out to be. Which would suggest none of the family has remorse.

I’ve read that he is trying to make amends, through volunteer work etc, though I don’t believe he’s ever actually sincerely apologized so that would have been a good first step.

It was court-ordered volunteer work.

Blues might be looking at making some changes
Boeser for Krug.

Hughes, Krug and Rathbone should fix the defensive problems on this team.

Cam Neely eating some good ole crow this morning, I wonder if he’ll be pressured to resign? The kid was 14 years old, a child, I mean, at some point he has to be given a second chance…if he shows he’s grownup and can truly apologize for his actions. Which I don’t think has happened yet.

The NHL won’t release the names of the kids who are currently playing in the NHL and committed sexual assault at the world juniors some years ago, allegedly, and that’s ok. Craig McTavish killed a young lady and went to prison but still had a long a successful NHL career. Apparently it’s ok in some instances to make poor decisions, and others, not so much.

“Bruins President Cam Neely on the Mitchell Miller situation: “I take a lot of pride in what we stand for as an organization, and we failed there””

I knew there was a reason vancouver traded him in '86! Such foresight by management. Maybe we just need to give this group 30+ years before we judge them

I found this from 2015 ... wow. Can you imagine three 1st round picks for Wesley! I know he ended up a good player but still, who is worth three first rounders nowadays? A handful at best.

Let's make sure we blame the guns themselves and don't address the actual root of the problem.

You're right, putting guns in more people's hands should result in less idiots handling them.
