Kind of puzzling. I guarantee you that there are scads of NHL players who did something wrong or immoral when they were a kid. Plenty of others who bullied someone. If I'm not mistaken, this happened when he was in the 8th grade. He was punished and paid a price. Don't we believe in second chances and rehabilitation in this country? I wouldn't be surprised if a lawsuit is filed. - MJL
This was not an isolated incident! Miller was racially bullying a black, mentally challenged kid from 2nd grade all the way into high school, even after Miller went to Juvenile court. He has never apologized and never did anything to make amends. This is beyond one race-related incident as Sweeny tried to spin it, this is a pattern of sociopathic behavior! |

Didn't he torture the special needs kid over a long period of time? Like years or something?
And what's a lawsuit gonna do? The NHL is a private league. If a majority of the owners don't feel like the kid should represent the league, then it's pretty much end of story.
What's the legal angle anyway... discrimination against bullies? - Tomahawk
YES! From 2nd grade all the way into his teen years! |

The victim had to be tested for Hepatitis, HIV, STD. I typed 'positive' by mistake.
The incident was caught on security camera and show Miller and a friend punching and kicking the disabled kid as well. - Captain_Ahab
They took hard candy, rubbed it in a urinal and made the kid eat it, among the many other horrible things they did to him. Absolutely disgusting! |

Kinda shocked that RR is sitting. Thought he'd be immune like Mac and ND. - Tomahawk
I'm not! We finally have a real head coach in Philadelphia! And for Risto, he finally has a real hockey coach to deal with. How will he respond? |

ust looking at the box score another non contributing night from frostzky it appears. how embarrassing to be getting outscored by zac mac. the fan club must be livid and placing blame on everyone esle.
is cates still at center? if so that experiment has long passed its expiration date. he has zero shots in his last 5 games? how is that even possible getting top 6 minutes?
good to see the coach bench RR as he has been garbage since his return.
looks like captain comfortable is having fun on another non playoff team. |

Sorry folks, I know it sucks to lose in the World Series but it was a great year for the Phillies and they made it a better series than I thought it would be. The Astros are just a stacked team. |

Frost had some good shifts tonight actually. Out of all the players he has played with, Frost looks the best with Tanner L, so maybe that is a combination Torts will keep going with. It is interesting that in his post game after the Toronto game, Torts said he was disgusted with some players' response. Thus I wonder if Bellows and RR were the players he was referring to? Cates had a really strong game tonight IMO, just made simple but important plays the clear the puck, or get the puck deep in critical moments of the game.
And yes, I was thinking the same thing about CC, he will put up stats on another team that is going no where! |

Yes the Astro’s had a great team….but this was a series they could have won. A couple of plays here and there, a couple of decisions here and there were the difference. You tip your cap and move on, but disappointed none the less. |

Sanheim got called for 2 ludicrous penalties tonight IMO and it looked like Torts thought so also. Sanheim is in a positional battle, there was no holding. And then G takes a dive on the 2nd call. I love TKs response after that, hitting G in the back when he got up :-) TK is really playing the best hockey of his career right now. - jd250
TK has really elevated his play. It was pretty funny although I’m sure G didn’t think so. Even with a couple of really bad call’s the Flyers rode Carter Hart to a deserved win. Sanheim hasn’t had the strongest start but I thought last night he played some real tough minutes and was very solid. |

You thought that was a deserved win? I thought Ottawa just couldn’t hit the net to be honest. The one shift, G gave Chabot 2 point blank chances that never got through. Senators missed the net a ton, especially on the PP. Flyers just looked better because Ottawa isn’t that good (looked better than recent games, not the better team) |

I thought there were some breakdowns for sure, but it just seemed there were less of them and they defended better. The Sens definitely have a better team, but I thought that was a deserved win. I freely admit my take’s are based on this teams current talent level, if that makes sense. I don’t see this current team playing much better. |

I thought they looked better, strictly because Ottawa isn’t a good team. But the first half of the game, the ice was severely tilted and the lack of execution from Ottawa was really the difference. Even later in the game, point blank one timer for Debrincat he whiffs on. That was also set up by G |
