Isn't looking for a defenseman after 3 injuries reactive, not proactive?

I'm generally with Cong on this. System is all F's and no D. Challenge is going to be selling high on a F for a D, ideally next summer. Easy to say sell high, buy low. Very difficult to do, while preaching vibes and want to be here. They drafted themselves into a very strange spot.

I mean I recognize the gaps in the org. If Joker can be swapped in some fashion for a real guy, that defense is Thor gif. You gotta wonder when Kevo will start putting defense into the system.

I think he did well to get Pilut, Davies, Clague and Priskie signed. That tweener depth was a great move and has already been needed ten games in. It'd be really great if Johnson signed.

Fortunately our 3 top D are 22 or less. That's a good position to be in. It allows the org to slow cook more defensemen. I just wish there were more. And I think they see it too. I mean, they have to. They were asked about it several times.

I think the fact that you act like a 5th and 3.6 m in cap space is feasible.

In all seriousness I think the Sabres are probably looking for a 24-25 year old RHD who either already has a contract or has another year of RFA eligibility.

Something like Philly 2nd rounder and Olivier Nadeau for that guy.
