Charles Davis said on the broadcast that defender was eclipsed by the D-linemen that was in front of Allen. Not sure I buy it, but it's the explanation.

He let's in a weak goal or two almost every start. He cost us the game Saturday. Plain and simple. Whenever Comrie plays the team needs to score minimum 4 goals to win. Book it.

I'd say he didn't cost us the game from the fact that at 5v5 he let in 3 goals against xGA of 2.86 ... so right on the mark.
If you disagree, then blame our Offense equally well that scored 2 G's vs xGF of 2.06...also on the mark.
Comrie also stopped 9 of 10 HD chances and 5 of 5 LD chances. He did faulted by letting 2 Of 5 or 6 MD chances.

Spare me the nonsene expected anything stat. I'll stick with objective numbers based upon objective data. He let's in too many goals per shots against. That doesn't need to be massaged; it needs to be improved. He let's in one crap goal per game, sometimes two like Saturday night. That doesn't need to be explained with arbitrary expected stats; it needs to end. He lets in at least 3 goals a game. Those are things backups do.

Results matter. Thinking otherwise gets you year 12 of no playoffs.

29 shots against ain't exactly getting blitzed. The Sabres got as many chances as they gave up. Skinner was robbed a half dozen times before he scored. The team played well enough for 2 points. Certainly for 1.

Whether Levi is ready or not is probably a moot point because if he thought he was ready he'd be here. It seems ludacris to me anyone would want to be a college goalie rather than starting for an NHL team, but here we are. It would take outside the box thinking from all sides to put Levi in a Sabre jersey this or next season, and that stuff ain't allowed. Losing the "smart" way is alwags the safest, most preferred option for losing entities. Taking a swing at it is hard.
