Interesting to see how this young team responds tonight. I think they gave Carolina to much respect last night. Sabres are at there best using there speed and pushing the pace and dictating play. There's only 6-10 teams in the league that can skate with the Sabres when they are going. Carolina is one of them, but Sabres let them dictate in long Spurts, showed to much respect. Good learning experience. And for God's sake teach these boys how to take a Faceoff, can't keep chasing the puck. More Faceoffs you loose more time the other team has the puck.

I'll bet over 82 games the Canes play maybe 5 bad games where they don't do what Rod wants them to. He's the best coach in the NHL today. You could just see what a machine they were last night. I givet a lot of credit to the Sabres for the last second goal. Make no mistake Carolina did not want to give it up. Raanta lost his poop.

Based on what I saw two nights ago Carolina/Tampa we matchup well with Tampa as long as we dictate pace. We need to push all 60 minutes, and even then Big Cat can shut us down. Carolina had to pepper 58 shots to get 3 goals.

And FFS stay out of the box.

He and Power kept us in the game last night. His ability to just keep the puck in zone and make really good forwards look silly is untouched right now in the league. He created almost every one of his shots last night by himself. Guy's a stud.

Power is going to benefit a great deal by having Dahlin there to measure and test himself against. Scary blue line next season.

Sorry to hear that

It's tiring to hear fans making excuses for pro athletes. Canes won but were covered for a loss because they were playing back to back. If they hadn't played in a week they would have been rusty. Truth of the matter is they are payed very well to play through being tired, sick or injured.
It's time for a change Every player should have to come clean before every game and claim how tired, sick or injured they are so us gamblers can make some safer informed bets. It's too late after the game getting all this information from the fans.
FYI I heard Anderson had a touch of the flu last night and I can only wish he made that public 24 hours ago.
