Honestly not even sure. Read it a couple of places which means nothing of course.

Isles averaging over a goal more per 60 minutes of 5v5 play so far this year, compared to last season

Oh. Right.

Sorry about that. The adds in the link were a bit… distracting.

Sorry, but your Islanders play the most boring style of hockey in the NHL. While my hawks are rebuilding and are hoping to be in the Bedard sweepstakes, my gut feeling is that the Hawks will win another cup before the Islanders.

By distracting what you really mean is arousing right?

They'll almost certainly cover up another rape before the Islanders do, so you've got that going for you

Isles do need a 6th d man but Dobson (who is think is their best all around d man) pelech, pulock and Mayfield are all very good and Romanov has the makings of a top 3 guy with some more growth put them in a great spot on the back end. Aho for me sucks and up front Parise and Palmieri contributing early has really helped this team. If this keeps up I really like the direction the team is headed

No question Isles need better than Aho as a 6th but if Bolduc continues to look good, I would give him a look instead of trading for a 6th. Save the money or assets for another need. Isles can always manage the minutes of the 6th dman.

I think managing the mins of a 6th D man sounds a heck of a lot easier then it actually is. Having someone who is NHL ready is pretty important 6th D man or not. Opposing teams will exploit that any chance they get. Especially on the road…

I would still give a look to Bolduc first before making a trade. Bolduc would give the Islanders another dman with size and he seems to have offensive talent.

I think the move is to bring in a vet for the 6th spot. Someone who can be trusted to make safe plays to get the puck out of the zone. A Johnny Boychuk type..

Not sure if this is being discussed but I saw a rumor I believe on some isles Facebook page that has the isles in on Tomas Hertl…..anyone hear about that?

I’m not against that or giving Salo another shot either. He should still be looking at other options to bring in a bottom pairing vet. There will be injuries.

All depends on the price. I rather leave the Cap space or any assets for a forward. Focus always seems to be defense with this team when the offense has been the biggest issue.

Well it had Bailey, Holmstrom and a second going so the Bailey conny would be going the other way. It could give Barzal a linemate to headman the puck so he doesn’t need to toe drag his way out of the zone.

Someone reported the other day that Grier is probably taking offers on anyone not named Hertl, so seems very unlikely. Maybe Meier, but he's going to cost quite a bit. Not some crap package of Bailey and Holmstrom

Parise and Palmieri looked like they did in the Devil years. I couldn’t believe it to be honest. 5 on 5 and special teams they were the best players on the ice. Parise had the biggest vet heads up play down low by taking someone out playing the body which allowed a teammate to grab the puck.

Agreed. Although I’d like to see the isles improve their PP. To me it’s their only weakness thus far.

No doubt about it, I just don't think that they have the assets to make it happen.

How about Bailey and Wotherspoon and a 6th.

I don't think they'll take anything less than Clutterbuck and a conditional 5th rounder in 2027
