I believe Pettersson is a good young center, one of the better 23 year olds in the league. He’s extremely valuable to both the Canucks and to another team.

I don’t care at this point who stays or who goes, but changes need to happen, full scale changes.

Does it really matter if he is bolting anyways?

I understand what you are saying, but disagree with Pouty being a centre.

I just read a quote that Imac said no shakeup in in the plans mid-season.

It’s pretty hard to trade a big contract this time of year.

He can’t bolt, he’s an RFA.

That’s because you don’t really know what you’re looking at.

We have a total of 3.5 years of control. Jack sh!t. He can bolt. We won’t be contending in 3 seasons

I think Petey is more of a center than Miller that's for sure. Miller excels at face off but is a disaster defensively. Petey is barely average at face offs but excels with defensive play.

Which one of those is better suited to play the middle? Petey obviously and this is why Miller in spite of getting awarded big bucks as a center is now on a true center's wing while Petey is still playing C.

He looked decent. They are only missing a number 1 and number 2 dman and a number 1 center. Piece of cake

He came from Carolina, they probably at least fire a shot from center ice or try for a homerun stretch pass. He'll learn that he doesn't have to try in those situations in Vancouver.

That tweet also links to another tweet where Brady Tkachuk almost scores on a breakway from a stretch pass that started from his own zone with less than 6 seconds left

I was hoping people would be talking about this one because I laughed.

But yeah if the whistle hasn't gone you bet your ass you're still trying or you won't be on the ice next game.

Only way it could be worse is to add two aging, overpaid, bad-at-defending defenders that eat up 13.26 million in cap space to the top of the pairings.

So Retinalz and everyone else jumping off a Power Play cliff after the first game.... have you seen they're tied for 4th in the league now?
- NewYorkNuck

Our powerplay is still trash. Where do we rank in SHG against? How much movement do we get out of the players while on it? Jason King needs to be the first head that rolls when coaches get fired.

Oh ya, definitely... but giving up shorties is on the players 100%
- NewYorkNuck

When our entire power play revolves around 3 guys passing between each other for 90%of it. It is on the systems. Our players skill makes a terrible PP decent.

Still trash at T-4th best in the league? They got to be doing something right. I'm sure there are teams with more movement that are ranked further down the list, does that make them better powerplays?

I think CBJ make a lot of sense for Miller. They want a centre while Sillinger and Kent develop, and he can move to their wing when ready. He is also somewhat of a local guy as well.

I'm not even defending King, or the PP set up... I just find it hilarious you go/went off after one game about how poop it is and how King won't adapt and every team will adapt and make the powerplay obsolete... and they're sitting tied for 4th best. Sure seems like you know less than Jason fucking King (as I'm sure pretty much every single person in here does when it comes to hockey)

Horvat's scoring pace is pretty much it. Horvat tied for 2nd in goal scoring. Canucks PP tied for 4rth best. Coincidence?

King is horrible. It's the same PP as when they are one of the worse ranked in the league. They have one player hotter than a pistol propping up their PP success.
