Bo has come around. Credit where due.

He's been one of the hottest goal scorers since last season. He picked up where he left off when he got injured last season. Your narrative about his start is all in your head.

I was one of them, now I'm stating to think this is just a retirement gig for him.

Lot's of valid points have been brought up, no need for me to repeat them.

They're not entertaining, quite the opposite.

- VanHockeyGuy

A lot of wrong guessing by everyone here and everywhere. I thought this team could outscore their D negatives but here we are again. There is something really wrong with this franchise that they keep repeating the same results and mistakes year after year for a decade.

I was excited this year more than most years and it only took 3 preseason games for the Canucks to squash my hopes. It is like the fans saying 1+1=2 and the Canucks turn it into -3.

I have mostly given up trying to figure out what this team needs. I think most fans know it needs to start over.

That’s not entirely true. Both parties had an option. Bruce had the option to see what else was available or come back for another year. Which he did, nothing else out there. The team had the option of accepting that Bruce would come back for another year, or else pay him severance. They chose not to pay three head coaches this year. Given the Bruce there it is crowd I’m surprised how many people are hating on him so quickly.

The team had the option as well so what I'm saying still applies. They had an off ramp. JR implies they had to honor the 2nd season with his comment.

I'm not sure we can throw Rutherford under the bus just yet, he's been on the job less than a year. Allvin was hired only nine months ago. Management groups tend to take a year to see where things lie, or is it lay, with a team?

At any rate, there's some concerning signs but I'm not ready to say they've been a terrible hire. If this nonsense continues into the New Year...ok, we can start burning shit down!

- Pacificgem

What direction is this management group going?

Until they show some kind of positive direction instead of chasing their tale, under the bus it is.

Tryamkin may have been the smartest player we've had in the last 10 years, he wanted nothing to do with this team.

Oh ya, definitely... but giving up shorties is on the players 100%
- NewYorkNuck

Depends... if the coach keeps putting players out who make bonehead plays over and over then he has to take some of the heat as well. If the coach has no options, then management has to take some heat too.

I don't think that rolling paper guy on the jersey is helping at all. Team looked baked last night against the Devils.

The Vancouver Zig Zags!

Just noting that the option not to renew came with a cost, and since he had just dragged them back from the abyss it made sense to honor the extra year.

Though having said that, JR’s criticism about “structure” at the end of the year should have been a huge red flag for bringing him back.

It appears they’re in a wait-and-see mode, trying to see if the players can re-create what they did the last half of last season.

Beagle= no upside

Boeser= no upside

Rathbone= a lot of upside

If people are ok with this team tanking and starting new with young players... then Rathbone fits the plans even if the end game is to trade him after he develops in the NHL.

What they are going to do instead is ruin him and find him a new team when he and his agent have had enough.

JR doesn't want to "make a mistake" by panicking. All hell will break loose if they lose to ANA. Let's see how they handle it.

When you lose 8 of 10, I am not sure it matters who they play. Bring in the Zamboni guy for Christ sakes

I think you are misunderstanding me. I wasn't suggesting how to win the next game with roster moves. Developing young players and increasing value of assets is what I'm talking about.
