From Hart's perspective, perhaps not. From the Flyers perspective, absolutely foolish. But then again... we do have CF running the circus... so.......

Didn't see the game. Watched the Phils but the numbers continue to be brutal. Hart is playing incredible hockey.

You have a deal if you take a back a bucket of used practice pucks along with a poster named PT21. Let me know and we'll write it up.

He is playing lights out. And he looks completely relaxed and under control while doing it. Just watch a couple of highlights from last night and he was under siege in most of them. Amazing.

You didn't miss much. Just a couple of teams continually turning the puck over to each other. Flyers focused on playing "tough" after the whistles, trying to earn tickets to Torts' penthouse. Rangers brought their C game and still got 2-points out of it. Shesterkin didn't have to exert himself until the final minutes. Flyers with barely any offensive pressure to speak of despite playing their top line half the game. TDA got booed every time he touched the puck.

Looking at the disparity in scoring chances. What would've happened if the Rangers brought their A game?

I apologize to anyone who felt I called Carter Hart the next Martin Beodeur, which isn’t what I’m saying. I’m saying Hart was once the best goalie prospect in any system and he’s not living up to his potential. I have news for all of you, Brodeur also wasn’t a first overall pick. So when I say I’m not mad about them throwing the season for Bedard, I’m saying we may already have our franchise player in Carter Hart. We just need to fix things around him. Give him a prayers chance at winning.

Game should have been 4-0, 5-0 as it was... Hart played well, but the Rangers' finishing was the bigger issue it seemed: missing open nets, hitting posts, shooting right into Hart's bread basket, etc.

Cant wait to see how Seeler develops under the steady coaching hand of Torts

Right, because Seeler was one of the players I was referring to ...

Hart is the story of the season so far, and its a great story for the Flyers. Hart is playing like the goalie we were hoping he would become and as fans this is great news, especially given the history of goalies in this city. Every real contender needs a top goalie and the Flyers at least have that. Over the next couple of seasons, the hope is the Flyers will be able to build out their forward group with the skill and speed they need to adequately compete in the current NHL.

He is actually playing BETTER than he looks. He made some pretty good saves last night that almost looked routine because of how well he is anticipating and positioning himself.

Hart's on a hot streak. We've seen it before. In the past, he not only falls back down to earth, he's fallen right thru the floor into the basement.

If he stays physically and mentally together this season, then maybe they can really start thinking about centering the plan around him. Until then, tho... it's a waiting for the other shoe kind of situation.

Think about what it takes to play game after game under those conditions to stay sharp mentally. Hopefully as some point, Tortorella gets it together and makes some changes to try and get more attack out of the team. Under the current conditions, don't see Hart having any easy games with how brutal this team is.

Seeler (29) is playing over:

Zamula (22)

York (21)

Attard (23)

You also have JB, ZM, and ND taking up roster spots instead of young kids

More proof of why I do not take your posts seriously

Honest question - with chuckles past moves do you have faith in him to build the team out from the net?

Nobody's gonna argue that Hart doesn't deserve the Vezina if he manages to balance on that knife's edge for the entire season.

Torts said Tanner and Z are back in tonight.

God only knows who's coming out for them. Doubt it's Macewen, ND or Seeler.

I would assume Seeler, unless Torts sees how absolutely brutal Risto has been. Also I bet Frost is taking a seat.
