Never pulled up or changed course and buried his shoulder into the goalies head. What's Cisekas so upset for, he ran the goalie no question.

Maybe Lambert likes cheap shots - take Barzal's knee out. Or take the Russian goalie out! |

Who do YOU prefer play next game, Roos or C Jones?
My guess is Regula in, C Jones in, Roos sits. I am not a C Jones fan |

R Johnson, Entwistle, Khaira, Katchouk……. Too many guys with limited capabilities. You can play one or two if needed. But playing four of their caliber players is a recipe for disaster. |

Re: Rather Roos or C Jones
Response: SSDD
Sure the response could hold true for much or the entire season. Looking at say top two pairing aroundvthe league, you have your top dmen then you have the experienced guys, next talented guys lacking.something. So hard to determine when someone might turn the corner and become a better player. Like Forsling.
It may take Richardson an entire year or longer to figure If he has a preference. CJones has more experience in the NHL yet Roos has a couple or so years pro experience. Roos looks like he could be pretty good but he is young and needs time. And the notion that dmen need 250 gp or whatever to get to their ceiling .....
Richardson and KD will evaluate now and later.....the might wind up making the right call with all the young dmen over next couple & plus years. At least I trust them more than Bowman and Colliton.
Here is some hockey to.ponder:
Does Chychurin make Toronto better. Does a different coach really prove to make a difference in playoffs..The Edm and Toronto are overly focused on offense. Would changing up the system and change a few players.work out better than.the level of.success with only minorish timkering??. we await how Dubas will strategize. I will point out however that Chychurin has a blemished.injury history. |

I wish that they wouldn’t sit these young guys when called up. Pick someone off the waiver wire to be your 7th dman, let the young guys play in the A or up with the big club. When all is said and done, I could see Mitchell and Vlasic up after the TDL, Mitchell probably sooner than that. - Angotti
I was assuming Tinordi got picked up to be the 7th, just like signing Magic Gus was last year. Somehow those guys seem to end up playing a lot more than expected. |

That’s the point of this season. They want hard working, gritty forwards who can’t score. They’ll be in most games, but don’t have the skill to win. |

Could be. But I would play Blackwell and Khaira and rotate Entwistle and R Johnson. They probably will not make a difference in the win loss column. But it would be more watchable.
I would take R Johnson over Entwistle. Entwistle lacks speed and it seems he even has trouble receiving good passes, not to mention making good passes. |

I think they are kind of taking a cautious approach to Khaira considering the injury last year. He may be getting periodic off days to make sure he's up to snuff.
I had hopes for Katchouk, but he just looks like a guy just running around and hoping. I've liked Blackwell thus far. I can take or leave Entwistle for what he is. |

Especially when they end up on the power play like Entwistle. To make games watchable, they need someone to carry the mail on the power play, C Jones is not it, he moves faster than his brain does. |

If the name on the card wasn’t Seth Jones, would analytics tell you he is a pretty good defenseman?
And I have irrational dislike for the way some players play the game (2 out of 3 last year are gone). I will admit that, and no analytics card would change my opinion. Am not dissing (or trying to diss) your opinion. I just think S. Jones is a better hockey player than you do. - LAHawk
Its the same card that showed he was awful the previous 2 seasons. So, not really. I have been watching the game as long as you, LA. I like the numbers aspects of evaluation because its just how my mind works. However, I don't based my opinion on just numbers. I use them to supplement my evals.
I have never been a fan of Jones long before the trade. FWIW
