I think they are two completely different shots. While both can one-time the puck with the best of them Thompson can score from way out even if the goalie is not screened. I went to all of the open practices and prospect games when they were coming up - Thompsons shot is special. His wrist shot is on par with Jack's wrister.

Had to laugh last night when he was a horse in the corner...thought to myself that he is perfect for that role with 90 seconds left on the game.

He only wasted 11:00 minutes last night!

olofsson has stretches of being a 5 on 5 terrorist and if he can be sheltered during those stretches (by asplund, for example) then he's a great asset

the first 6 games of this year every time he touched the puck 5 on 5 any offensive pressure immediately ended. its different than like a drew stafford who's scoring would just disappear for stretches, olofsson just can't even play hockey for some stretches

I think girgs had way higher potential when he was drafted. I remember matthew coller specifically saying his ceiling should be a Drury type player.

Not at all, he's a good 4th liner, just not on this team next year. Hopefully the TDL

Sabres looking good. The only scary thing, are they playing a 82 game schedule at a 40 game pace. Donnie has to be careful with who needs rest and when. With a young team it's a very hard obstacle to overcome as experience counts.
