This is probably going to blow some people's minds.
Which coach had the highest % of points during his time coaching the Sabres?
- Ralph
- Housley
- Teddy (includes both stints)
- Rolston
- Craig Ramsay
- Punch Imlach
- Meatballs |

Intentionally took the bottom 7 so Donnie could win?

Pretty much
That's just stunning that he took over this franchise when it was at its absolute freaking worst and not only righted the ship but got it turned around fairly quickly. I thought he would have been 25 - 30 games under .500 but he is actually 47 and 58.
I guess that also goes to show you how bad the other coaches were as some of them had decent rosters. Bylsma was slightly better than Meatballs but not by much. |

All you need to know about Ralph Krueger is that he led this team - with Rasmus Dahlin and Linus Ullmark - to a last place finish

He's wedged between Ralph and Bylsma atm, kind of funny.

That's actually not a bad roster at all, with these exceptions:
- Years from now people will look at that and see Eakin between Dactyl and 23
- Staal was way past best-buy date
- Hall was stealing money

Ralph and Don coached an even number of games that season. Didn't realize that until now.

Biggest disappointment in Sabres history. That guy rustles my jimmies so hard. |

Biggest thing I'll remember is when they made them play the Devils.

Yeah, Ralph killed the team's will to live and it took ownership something like 11 straight losses to put him down.
That guy was a psychic vampire feeding off the collective misery of WNY. I'm convinced of it |
