Claypool to the Bears.

That’s a miss for the Bills IMO

- ImThatGuy

You said the same about putting Okposo on the first line. LOL, remember?

What the (frank) does that have to do with the Bills?

Okposo on line 1 has worked for 1 game. Hopefully it continues to work.

I think the difference is that Jacobs is a much better runner than Singletary, and I like Singletary. That said, I suspect we end up with a more discount option like Montgomery or Hunt.
- Slump Buster

I do think Jacobs is better
But considering that we don’t run much,
the improvement wouldn’t be worth the price to get him

I think the point is that he is always good on the ice regardless of the result of the play. Those may appear to be his best shifts but the reality is that he is a damn good player and you have to watch closely to appreciate. Mark Stone was like that early in his career before he became a monster.
- Slump Buster

I’m with ya. I can see him being beneficial on any line. I’m just being contrary. For the record I like him and I see the value he has to our team.

Half of that list is having a down year. McCaffrey is elite when he is healthy, but how often is that? Henry is on the backside of his career. Barkley is having an amazing year, especially when you consider who the qb is.
- Slump Buster

Sure, u could say that some of those guys are having a down year
But that’s “down” from “great” and they’re still pretty damn good
Jacobs is having a great year, but he’s never been this good before
And he doesn’t get the benefit of being better than guys that are good year in & year out

I don't see who he would have replaced in our lineup. I think it would have to be Shakir, and I don't see that as much of an upgrade (especially when you consider that Shakir is returning kicks).

EDIT. A second for Claypool? That is steep. No thanks.

Congrats, join Boss in your infatuation with me.

You’ll have to get in line though.

Super talented, but apparently there’s been some locker room nonsense with him
That might be why the Bills weren’t “in” on him
Pretty good player though
He’ll help Fields & the Bears

Seemed obvious he’d move,
but has an $18mil cap hit next year
Texans would likely have to eat a lot of that

Yikes, I can't see too many teams that would be interested in taking that on. He is one of the move underrated WRs in the league but he never stays anywhere for long.

I think they see the difference that WRs can make for the QB. I just saw an article explaining how terrible Burrow is when one of his WRs is off of the field. The problem is I don't know if he is an elite receiver. If he is then it is a good trade for them.

a second rd pick from bears is closer to our first rd pick vs our second rd pick

Good point, but I think that is too much for us to pay for a 4th or 5th receiver.

claypool was playing out of the slot and would replace little dirty in our starting lineup had we got him

but not at that price

Claypool isn’t “elite”
But he’s now the best pass catcher Fields has,
and he clearly needed some help
Claypool has a bunch of talent & will help the Bears if he can keep his head straight

Claypool would be our best pass catcher after Diggs
