What's the matter with these reffs. They could have called another penalty on Joseph for scoring.

Man these Tampa players sure know how to lay down on the ice! I wonder if Kucherov is running a seminar on Russian diving and embellishment for the team. Or maybe it's Cernak. Those guys in Czechoslovakia invented diving way back when.

Got to love that short handed goal. Where is that top line? The only guy I'm seeing is Batherson. Forsberg's doing pretty good. PK is awesome so far. Had a lot of room on that two on 0 but threw it into the pad.

This officiating is disgusting. Tampa is an entire team of cheats.

Hard to blame the refs when this team has trouble managing a shot on goal.

Tampa Bay referees win the game. Man I dislike that Tampa team. What a bunch of sh_ts they are! That whole organization is made up of a bunch of cheats and scam artists.

Anyway you're not going to win many games with 15 shots on goal.

That top line was not doing much. No chemistry at all. Actually neither was the second line noticeable 5 on 5 except for Pinto.

The third and fourth lines were playing well until the refs decided to pretend that something awful had happened to Cernak. He was laying on the ice after all and that was there cue to give Tampa a helping hand.

I think the D played really well tonight and they did get a lot of help from the forwards. Maybe a little too much. Just 15 shots after all.

Forsberg played really well.

I can't see what can be done. You need an NHL coach to figure this one out and unfortunately the Sens do not have one.

Take my ticket on the fire DJ train. This team has been outshot by way too far of a margin on this Florida trip considering the skill. Norris and Zub alone were not making up that difference.

There is no structure. There is no discipline. There is no willingness to play, besides Brady, who would play for anyone.

Chabot is slowing becoming an overpaid #3 or 4 dman. He’s regressed or at best, stayed at the same level from 2-3 years ago. While deployment from DJ has been and issue, he is not doing himself any favours. He directed Branstrom on a play only to have the play come to him and flub the coverage.

DJ and the whole staff need to go. I’ve always felt that he was a place holder coach until players develop. That time is now. When you get outshot almost 2-1 by two of the top teams in the east in a year you are expected to rise the standings a bit, it’s time to get a new voice in the room.

Putting a positive spin on this for now....

They have been in games they shouldn't have been. Against teams that are better than them and were playoff teams last year. Outside of empty net goals they have only been one goal out in many of the losses.

So...if they can eliminate the obvious mistakes.....and get some coaching.....and get a RD....and.....and.....and.....

At least the game was terribly exciting....

I don't know what game other people may have been watching but I saw a lot of effort by the players. I didn't see any passengers. There is too much talent on this team for them to be so badly outplayed when they are giving a strong effort.

They just are too disorganized. So many stretch passes. Other teams will try that a couple of times but not over and over and over. At least they started making short passes to open team mates in their own zone in order to exit but then it falls apart. There is no plan for attack or so it seems. The same applies to pretty much every aspect of the game except for the PK and Forsberg.

Well if anything comes out of this season hopefully it will be an actual NHL coach and maybe they win the lottery. Hopefully Pierre "Proudest Day of My Life" Dorion doesn't do too much damage to the team's future before he is shown the door.

I like this team a lot more than last year's, but the fact they can be so on and then off hot and cold is worrisome. Some relative form of consistency would be nice. Allowing 57 shots one game, then taking only 15 shots in the next? I get it is the Florida teams, but doing this and coming away 0-2 when both opposing goalies are having off nights? What the heck is going on with the systems here?

I see where some of the Twitter chatter is shifting from targeting Zaitsev to now claiming that Chabot is the primary problem.

Going into the summer the Sens made it clear that the number 1 add in the off season was a top four Dman. They did not make that add.

Now that Zub has gone down we get to see just how thin the Ottawa back end is, especially when trying to defend in the hot zone.

Folks wonder how come Chabot may struggle when playing 29 minutes. Duh.

They say Chabot is the problem and trade whatever it takes for Chychrun or any D for that matter. They say Brannstrom and Hamonic are fantastic and so much other endless, absurd drivel comes out of their mouths it's unbelievable. Their job is to babble non stop. They must take their cues from one another on what's the trending thing to be saying and don't give it a second thought. Safety in numbers.

I believe it was Mr. Melynk ( RIP) who said Toronto forgot about the defense when building their team. He was not wrong. Our defense is shaky at best.
Same thing with Ottawa when losing one guy forces Chabot to play way too much.
It's a tough league.
Wonder how Debrincat is enjoying life without Patrick Kane? 1 SOG last night.

Yup. I think the team thought guys like Bernard Docker and Thompson would be further along. It would be nice if they were on teh big club at present, but they both can be meaningful contributers down the line.

On Debrinicat, fair question, but the whole team has been out of sorts, getting no shots on goal. He has 8 points in 9 games, but I think we'd all like / expect some more goals at this time.

The thing that sucks most about losing Norris so
long so early is we have no idea whether or not he's worth the contract he got. Debrincat is playing for his future value, he should pick it up given it's a contract year.

Main issue is the lack of stability on the blue line. Zub, Demelo, Methot, Volchenkov, Philips. The best versions of this team have always had two+ of these guys holding the fort. Sadly they seem to be the first guys culled when trade season happens.

That Point goal starts with a stupid and completely unnecessary pass from Stutzle through two Tampa sticks to Brannstrom way over on the other point and Brannstrom isn't even open. He's covered. Why are you trying to force a pass through to him? You've got two guys coming at you and another covering Brannstrom so go low. What is the friggin problem? Stutzle is responsible for a lot of stupid give aways. Sens forwards are trapped out of the play and highly skilled Tampa forwards attacking with numbers make them pay with what I have to think is a very well executed set play. Don't blame Chabot or Brannstrom for that. That was all because of a stupid forced pass by Stutzle.

The game before the empty net goal was because of a stupid forced pass by Batherson and that got blamed on Chabot as well.

The question that needs to be asked is why are these guys incessantly trying to force these ridiculous passes? Tampa's PP was getting clobbered trying to force those cross ice passes so it happens to even good, well coached teams.

Zeitsev, Holden and Hamonic are not top 4 players so it forces Chabot and Sanderson to n ot play like they should because they have to cover for their d partner, and if the retards had payer JBD and Thompson form most of the year last year OTT would most likely not need a top 4 D, OTT needs to trade/waive Hamonic and zeitsev, trade Branny and have JBD and Thompson play, have Hetherington play on 3rd pairing with Holden.

JBD and Thompson cant do worst than hamonic or zeitsev.

OTT gonna lose tomorow(now watch en win to make eat these words) that would be 4 losses in a row, if they lose VS philly if DJ is not fired that night lose all hope for this team this year...

Demerais actually makes a lot of sense. The family transport business originated in Northern Ontario (Sudbury) and from there moved into Montreal and the spectacular evolution of Power Corp. Andre, I believe, is a graduate of Ottawa U.

Don't discount the appeal of LeBreton. A chance to develop something that is going to something very special sitting on the edge of Parliament Hill.

I agree on this. 3 games at home now. If this team goes 1-2 or 0-3, you can't keep DJ. Plus he's absolutely willing to go down with Zaitsev, so then too bad, suffer the consequences. Listening to DJ in postgame interview after the TB loss, he actually sounds like a guy that knows his job is beyond on the line. He sounded pretty defeated. If your leader sounds that, it's time to cut the cord.

Sens going on the market. Sale price should be in $750m range.

Makes a lot of sense. New ownership will want final before LeBreton negotiations get too far advanced.

We should see at least two groups emerge as contenders over the next few weeks.

Probably not a lot of public posturing. Just an announcement of the successful bidder probably sometime in January. Everything is clearly being done in highly professional and competent manner. Good times.

It's funny how all of a sudden yesterday everyone is all wound up about the potential sale. I recall Kevin flat out saying over a month, one on a National podcast that the team was for sale and gave info about insights on the mother convincing the youngest daughter to sell as the oldest didn't care either way. He also said it on a small podcast too.
