You can disagree all you want. I can't speak for all mods but from my experience many give warnings, including myself, before a ban is issued. Other times people get bans for saying vile things and it deserve to be handled swiftly.

Posters are in no way allowed to tell others to kill themselves even in a joking manner. It's disgusting and will not be tolerated in any way.

Additionally, since I'm here, politics and religion are also prohibited as they are a slippery slope that generates ridiculous conversation that has nothing to do with hockey.

In which, this isn't the only forum to stay away from those topics, generally they are just polarizing and heated to be civil while remaining anonymous on a website.

I appreciate that you came on and talked to the board rather than just remaining behind the scenes cloaked.

Here is the issue. The moderating is selective. Some posters can flat out call another poster an idiot or a moron. On a daily basis. There is one poster in particular who repeatedly makes personal remarks against others. Nothing ever happens. Then someone will post. "you're being really stupid" and they'll get a month off.

You have to be joking, right??

There's a system in place because mods can't be everywhere. This is a family friendly forum and it's expected that all members act like it. Regardless of your thoughts on what people do, the things that were said were far over the line and I'm happy the reports came in.

Thanks for addressing the issue. I can’t agree with the reporting unless it’s way over the line.
Guys going back and forth and name calling or citing the misinformation mantra as the fall of democracy and running to the mods isn’t what I would call honourable.
Just as easy to scroll past some posts.
For something that’s extremely over the line I get it.

So, in other words, Provorov should've covered everyone on the play? The Flyers had 5 players back to two Canes. If Provorov moves over to take Necas, what happens? Necas simply passes to a wide open Burns who then has a free lane to the net. Provorov is not to blame there. He played it correctly and covered the RW as a left side D. Konecny stopped skating on the back check and Sanheim was passive, sat back and didn't block the shot.

Respectfully disagree. Never a good move for a defender to turn away towards the boards away from the puck carrier. The result proved it. I agree that TK stopped skating, doesn’t mean Provorov should stop playing the threat right in front of him on his side of the ice.

Your analysis acts as if Provorov was the only defender back.
