I don’t know if we have a right to know, but the way the Flyers go about things seems weird.
- Dkos

We have no right to know, but I've not seen other teams with such secrecy and just misleading timelines. I think the fan base knew Ellis was out likely for his career by mid last year, yet the team continued to tell us otherwise. That is honestly frustrating for the fans.

True dat! The list of athletes with heart conditions over the past year and half is almost endless. I wonder why???????

Coots get a second surgery.
That's always good news.
Especially 2 spinal surgeries in a year!!
He may be done for good or at very least a shell of himself.
What a lotto blessing, Although this snappy start may hamper those plans.

If it were Myocarditis, it sounds like he’d likely either recover in a few days or be done with his career. Doesn’t seem like the type of thing that takes weeks to figure out. The silence about injuries, and the unusual amount of on-going issues and multiple surgeries, sure makes me feel like the Flyers are trying to hide something they did wrong.

You are missing tbe subtext of that comment, unless you are choosing to take it at face value. 😉

So, to sum up:
JVR might be back by Christmas
Couts might be back next season
Atkinson is on life support
And Ellis is mostly dead

No update on Brown, but, then again, who would really give a (frank)?

- BiggE

Well. There’s no update on Brown because he’s likely in a graveyard somewhere.

I can’t believe the coots news. Dear god. I’d be looking at going to some new doctors if I was the flyers. Every injury seems to be presented as not that serious and ends up being career threatening

I honestly would not be shocked if Atkinson coots Ellis are all done for good. Even when jvr is back I’d sit him out until the deadline because if he gets injured it’s likely career threatening

It really seems like the organization should be able to manage their communication a little (lot) better. It has been an awful lot of injuries these last few years, and the secrecy and changing timelines breeds distrust. However, I will not be quick to suppose anyone’s career is over until they themselves say it is. I understand from a planning perspective you can’t plan on playing anyone that doesn’t have a current timeline to return to play. I just don’t like how negative everything has become that everyone with a major or mystery injury is DONE—for certain. Career-ending! No one is done until they say they are. I think it is unfair to talk this way when a player may be facing months of grueling rehab and really intends to make it back.

Funny thing is, pitch before, he wildly contorted his body to avoid being hit.

Just an amazing run so far. I think if they take tonight’s game they’ve got this.

The Coots contract wasn’t good when signed, and it’s looking worse as it goes along.
If his absence along with others nets a top 3 pick in next yrs draft, I can live with it.

Phils seem like a destiny team and really getting clutch hitting. The Astros are a dangerous team though.

As far as injury reports. League is all in on the gambling for revenue. You have to disclose injuries for gambling reasons. Right or wrong. Look at nfl

I wonder if Bill like these Dallas stars jerseys. The lime green really stand out contrast wise, with the black base color.

Would you still be rooting for the Sillies if they had cheated? Inquiring minds want to know. If you're ain't cheatin you ain't tryin.

I'm watching this game too I feel like they look like road side workers. I'm ok with it.
I was going to ask Bil about Hintz if he's the real deal as a center doesn't seem to win too many face offs
