Horvat’s on a 50 goal pace

Not bad for someone who is pouting and showing poor body language because he doesn't have a contract yet.(sarcasm)

Are they really not giving credit for the 2nd Horvat goal? Clearly he tipped that down.

It’ll be reviewed and he’ll get credit.

Well I’ve been on it about the negatives so should point out some positives. I only get national games so didn’t see any of kraken

- Rathbone looks real strong on puck, moving the puck with confidence
- Still like Garland’s creativity
- Miller just got the puck out a few times in positions he’s been doing dumb things in own zone
- Spencer Martin seems legit, just real solid positionally

Still don’t like OEL in our own zone. Just so soft and giveaway after giveaway. Hopefully Bear plays well and takes some minutes.

Bear has been a scratch for all games this season so expect him to take some time to condition and be useful.

I like Petey's line. He didn't get credited with any points tonight, but he sure looked good.

Miller needs to watch how petey plays without the puck.

He is frustrating to watch. It looks like he is on pace for another 30 this year. It really leaves you with mixed feelings.

We can bask in Apathy and selling players or accept Canucks haven’t given up on season.

So what will Tuesday D pairing be with added players.

QH Shenn
OEL Bear
Rathbone Myers

But Burroughs has looked good so don’t know if Bear slots in or Rathbone is out?

Also heard BB will play and that new center acquired from Bruins too. Do they form a line with Pearson? Then does Hogs or Joshua stay in with Pods and Aman?

That was the team I expected this season. Can score timely goals even when being badly outplayed and can get the W if the goaltending is above average.

I only saw them get pretty dominated in the 3rd period but score timely goals as you said. That's pretty much how STL did it last season, they looked good.

I have liked Brisebois, wish he would use his size and get a tad bit meaner once in a while but he's the PK guy the left side needs on the team.

When healthy though now do the Canucks have defensive # issues.

Hughes Schenn
OEL Myers
Dermott Burroughs
Rathbone Bear
Brisebois Poolman

Hard to have 10 D on a roster but who goes down and who stays up?

Also,

Abbotsford with another win last night 7-3.

Linus Karlsson 8 points in 5 games.

They will continue to have defensive issues (beyond “team” defense) as long as OEL/Myers are eating up almost $14m in cap space. If you’d like to add Hughes in there too be my guest as his defensive game isn’t great but he does help get the puck out of his zone much more easily than anyone else.

OEL is getting walked around probably 5 times a game this season. He eats up minutes but he is been not good.

I’m not sure if he was serious or being a Canuck ass, but Cam Charon tweeted or was quoted as saying that if OEL was on any other team he would have been on waivers by now - or something to that effect.

Mikheyev starting to look a lot better.
- boonerbuck

Yes and maybe Demko needs to sit for a bit. Still shaky last game vs Kraken and Martin looked structured and solid last night.

I liked the Garland signing (Benning) and I liked the (Mikheyev) signing Alvin, too soon to say about Kuzmenko, but other than that this new group to me looks like a continuation of what the last group did.
- VANTEL

Garland was meh on take him or leave him but it appears he is settling in bit more now. Just Boudreau there he's not a huge Garland fan it appears. Mikheyev and Kuz looking much better. It was clear adding the 5 forwards messed thing up a bit but maybe chemistry is coming. Lazar Joshua Aman Kuz and Mik is a big change to the forwards from last season with Motte D!cki Highmore and Lammiko.

Looks like Bo and JT are on pace for another 30 goal season. Petey looks quicker and engaged as well.
