The fact that you have a personal vendetta against a random on the internet is funny and sad at the same time. You can say "I thought you knew everything" to me but The only reason why you think that is because it's you who actually thinks they know everything.

You and I can have opposing view points and we do but if you can't handle it and have to resort to acting like a child every time. I'm just not going to interact with you anymore. I'm sure you are okay with that.

I've got to go pick up leaves in my yard now. Good day sir.

Go Canucks Go!

What's a matter, your wife wearing the pants again today?

You have taken several shots at me over the past few weeks and I just laughed at it, as I don't let random internet dudes comments bother me.

If you dish it out, you need to be able to take it.

Also, thanks, I will have a good day.

Blake Price's what a Canucks rebuild could look like Ranger's style.

I have liked flashes of Kuzmenko so he would be a keep. Schenn, Dermott and Stillman for any pick in any round.

Have to shed some cap space if they plan on doing the Rangers rebuild so they can sign Pastrnak.

- manvanfan

Kuzmenko is gone, would you re-sign here? keep him PP1, get his stats up and sell for a 1st at TDL. with only 950k and most bonus's payed by us before then if he can be a .5 ppg player a 1st+ from a contending team is possible.

Not sure about your bonus comment. Canucks donโ€™t have cap space for those, think they get pushed to next season, but not sure how that would be handled if he were traded.

My point is that the team acquiring him doesnt need to worry about several of them on their cap, because it will be added to ours, either this year or next(depending on when we make trades). This increases his value to a contender, esp if we can get at least .5 production out of him.

He is already at a -6, in 7 games. I would think he will have to improve his defensive side of the game, as well as his offensive side.

Ok, this post triggered me. Primarily the part where the author calls Demko an elite goaltender. This fanbase is (frank)ed. The reason everyone is shocked we suck is because our core is outrageously overrated. Get over But Bubble Demko. Get over rookie Elias who looked like a 60 goal scorer. Move on from rookie Brock. Demko is an average goaltender. Quinn is certainly not a #1 D. Way too many holes in his game. Its not all about 2nd assists and PP points. Elias is not a #1 center. Hell Iโ€™m still not convinced he is even a center.

This whole (frank)ing fanbase and all of our media ๐Ÿ›€ ๐Ÿง‚

The core stinks!

See the bold. That's the difference. Do I talk about your wife? Life? kids? No.

I posted this morning about some hockey articles and two posts later you told me "I knew everything". Do I dish things out to you? Yes, are you they about your family? No. Your intelligence? No. They are hockey related.

Do I tell VHG that he's off his meds because he comes in with randomly like a crazy person would because who knows what he is laughing at without saying anything. It might be mean if it's true(which sorry VHG if it is)

Do you know what humility is? I made a not so subtle joke to VHG about his generation the other day and you made one back to me. I admitted that I do. Humility.

You female doged about how I don't pay for hockey to watch the games because I was annoyed that a website went down. You don't know my situation. You female dog about the entire team and how the way to get change is to stop paying for it but then are so proud about how many subscriptions you have to watch the team. Do I say anything about that to you? Not yet.

Obviously I dish it out and get it back from a lot of people. Lefty and I have no problem with each other. He's able to keep it sports related. Like how a grown ass man should.

Did they only just figure out the bottom bolded?

Also, calling anyone elite, when they are one-dimensional, is a bit much.

wtf are you talking about?

Demko has a .915 over the last 2 years, with 99 GP. I'll give you Brock being completely overrated but Petey and Hughes are legitimately elite players and you'd be an idiot to try and trade either of them. They are players worth building around.

Petey and Hughes are both very good hockey players but Elite is a bit of stretch. Although that depends on your definition of Elite.

Demko is middle of the pack. Folks act like he is a perennial Vezina finalist. Delusional. I had no idea elite meant PPG player. Soft PPG players. The Canucks donโ€™t have an elite player. Itโ€™s why they suck. One of the many reasons

Totally. I guess if you remove the connotation that brings, I would judge them based on how they compare to other teams best players at F and D around the league. I woudn't put them top 10, but I wouldn't put them bottom 10 either. To me to get anyone better it has to come through luck and drafting.

You do like your bath salts.

I still think the Canucks have good players but I have also thought the same thing since 19-20 that the team has never played together as a unit except for a few games here and there.

Right now it's very doom and gloom. Easily to look and say that everything is the problem.

Every team except for probably top 8? don't have a big hole or two. You look at teams like Carolina who have been great. They have lacked a goaltender and last season the PP was poop in the playoffs. Boston has had a very good team but have lacked depth for a long time. Those two examples you see how well their lines play together though. Van's lines don't. Sedin's and Burrow and then there was one season of the Lotto line. No chemistry, the lines are in the blender every game. Hughes with Tanev last respectable D pairing they put together.

Maybe the answer is to get rid of all 23 players, which seems ridiculous in a way. Certainly need better defenders first off.

I would probably take the nose dive and trade some parts big or small and see what next year brings.

Elite is PPG. EP is anything but soft as well. for most, Elite is top 25 at their position. Star players are the ones that are top 10 and superstars are top 3 at their position. Though I disagree with that last one as I feel Matthews, McDavid, Draisatl, and Mackinnon are all Superstars and all play Centre. Goalies are abit different in the elite category, but Demko finished 7th in Vezina last season, that is pretty elite.

If Demko had Calgary's defense in front of him, he probably would win a Vezina. The amount of high danger shots our team lets through to him is insane, much higher than most other teams.

Yes, good players. NOT elite. There is a massive disconnect here with the fanboys. Pouty is unlikely to resign so he should be shipped out. A small and soft core like ours is not a solid foundation to build a contender on. Start over. Find a real 1C and 1D through the draft to build on. Find a better mix. We canโ€™t continually prioritize small and soft wingers.

Line combinations is a massive part of the continued failure for sure. I was pissed when Benning let Tanev go, he was the ideal partner for Hughes.

It feels like both coaches have been trying to fix the lineup as a whole instead of 1 line at a time. Find 2 forwards who have good chemistry with Pettersson and stick with it, don't pull them off his line the second they have a poor game or get scored against.

They sure aren't good defensively a lot of the time. To be an "elite" player do you need to be good at both ends? Can you be good at one end and mediocre at the other and still be elite?

Add to it Miller. He sacrifices everything defensively for the offense he gets. He'll get points, but at what cost.

Demko is the only one I hold hope for because of the high danger chances ... but we may well have wrecked him the way we wrecked Schneider.

Mackinnon:
0.72 hits/game
0.48 blocks/game
Pettersson:
0.69 hits/game
0.61 blocks per game

I guess Petey is too soft to be a 1C?

(For what it's worth Petey averages more takeaways as well)
