West coast trip he went to hit a guy but got STOOD up at their blue line, forget what game it was but he did try to hit someone...
- DirtyDan

I remember that, in Seattle. I guess bouncing off a guy doesn't count. Hits are a funny stat. Very subjective.

Cozens + Peterka is good fun.

Power is still on my list. Don't care if he's had a rough month, his talent is overwhelming.

Cozens has really impressed me with his speed.

Maybe my affection for olo made me like him on that line?
That line on paper kinda makes sense IMO
2 grinders/with effort and skill and a sniper.

Power has cost them points, but after watching dahlin turn his game around 100% , I have faith.

Sabres have a sh!t tone of wingers to evaluate, don't see how they can do it. Power just needs some confidence. Funny Dahlin started turning his game after Cozens stood up for him and he got that partner.

Eric Staal agrees. Happens with guys his age.

This could be your best post ever.

Exceptional comparison. Similar age and numbers

Rotate guys like asplund, quinn, krebs.

I really like mitts game. He will not be part of the "rotation " I think he's a future core guy.

His effort is 100%. Aside from the odd, lazy non goal skating to the bench.

Those young guys aren't learning rotating. That's what's confusing if this is a growth and development year you have to let them play through growing pains. You keep doing this and you will run into a problem with more wingers coming up and pushing and that's when the system stalls.

Asplund should not be sitting. Guy has earned every right to play in every game.

Its clear as day they need to trade one of Olo, Krebs, Quinn, Hino, Girgs, Mitts.

Mitts looks to be coming into his own,
Quinn first year so not him,
Hino is useful as we need energy guys,
Krebs has shown nothing IMO but hes still so young and has talent there,
Girgs was just given the A and has been competitive,
Olofsson is good for scoring and most of his goals have been EN's so far.

Use one of these guys and a pick and get solid RD to pair with Power.

Stop the rotation BS. It has killed the excitement around this forward group already.

Um, power has been a turnover machine.

He has cost the buffalo Sabres points in the win/loss column.

Last night should/ could have been an ot game.

Aside from banking the 1st montreal goal in by himself

Everyone knows that's a freak accident. Your blaming him just to be a trolly bum.

He has been lackadaisical at times, but to blame that goal on his is laughable, This team had every chance to run away with that game in the second. First 15 minutes Montreal count touch the puck. Gotta score on those runs.

As for the turnovers its going to happen hes not even 20. See Dahlin.

His decision making is what's costing him. That will get quicker no doubt as he has all the tools to slow the game for himself. See Dahlin.

The "aside" part, separated the unfortunate play from his flat out game losing overall game.

There's going to be obvious growing pains with power or any young defenseman.

His bad decisions are costing the team points.

Ethan Bear would fit well, but the Sabres arenโ€™t looking to move quality picks or high-end prospects to fill the void until Samuelsson and Jokiharju return.

Prefer to weaponize their cap space and add a player from a team that needs to clear the roster spot or $$$.

Nothing wrong with looking at an individual game and a mistake that led to goal and saying it cost them points, but someone else is going to look at a different play or missed opportunity.

If you want to look at overall on-ice impacts for the season, Mitts and VO stick out like sore thumbs with dreadful xGF%. On the other end, Vinny, Cozens, Peterka, Dahlin are on top. Matches with the eye-test, imo.

Just punting another season in the name of development while sitting the young guys for Vinny Hinostroza and playing 39 year old rookie Casey Fitzgerald instead of trading for a quality player like Bear for like a freaking 3rd rounder

Such a ridiculous thing to hear after passing on many opportunities in the offseason to do just that.

Tells you where their mindset is at with Lance being a Sabres FO media mouthpiece.
