the Colts built a dome like what 10 years ago.. difference is theirs is downtown and they use it for a shat load of other things. NCAA basketball is there almost every year, big ten finals basketball and football, conventions, concerts, other events.. that thing gets used all the time. the location does lend for it to be used like that in buffalo

We're Peoria, IL with an NFL franchise. Major conventions arent coming here with a dome, a downtown stadium, or a signature span. We're a third tier ciry verging on fourth.

one of the guys that works for has a wife that works for a hospitatily company.. she books conventions all over the country, she Buffalo is getting more interest because of how expensive some of the places are getting. However, the bigger conventions want everything they can do within 10-15 walking distance from the hotel which is attached to or a few blocks from where the convention will be.. one group even told her that their stipulation was they wanted two high end golf courses within 10 min of their hotel. oh and nice weather


edit: she also went to Buffalo to check things out since it was getting more interest. she asked several people including hotel hostess what there is to do and where to eat.. everything told her there is nothing to do and told her you can go to (insert chain restaurant here) for food...
