A defensman is coming. Sammy and Joker are going to be out multiple weeks. Maybe December.

New defenseman soon.

Not quite shocking, but I'm pretty surprised.

Now, my question is where does the almighty Sabres analytics department fall on this?

Time to sit Granato for a night.

Asplund benched

Boom

Benched? Or is he injured? Or is he “injured”?

The way Marty and Duffer talked, benched. Roster pressure.

Counting tonight we have 17 games before December 1st (which I think is a reasonable time to expect Joker and Sammy to be back). These are important players. They account for almost 45 minutes a night.

What do we do?

Stop gap 6th d man or a legit top 4?

I think asking for more than one from either Roch or outside is too much. We need one from Roch and one from out of the organization.

Don't you expect them just to play Fitz and Pilut?

The aftermath is interesting, since neither would be waiver-exempt.

Don Granato said Rasmus Asplund will be out for the Sabres tonight. He emphasized that while all the forwards are healthy, there will be a rotation.

Not "benched", they just have too many bodies. Should be interesting to see who is eligible for the rotation.

Now imagine if they had traded two roster players in a trade to get a better roster player.

Problem solved, IDI0TZ

Think we all know a few guys who are playing poorly but not 'eligible'.

Bit of a test for KA and Meatballs. Quinn and Krebs are 2 of his biggest acquisitions, but the best hockey move right now is probably to send them both down to Roch, even it's a bad look.

The Giants are the last team that I thought would be trading a receiver

I don't think it is a bad look at all. That said, I don't think Quinn would benefit from any more time down there. He needs to be with the big boys.

Platooning is a real thing in baseball outfields. I don't see why it can't work here.

That said, id much rather have had Cat.

I think a month of playing big minutes in Roch would help more than a 4th line platoon here.

This is a terrible take.

Asplund got his assplund benched.

And pegsville asked if I watched the games. 😀

Hard to find a spot for a tiny defensive forward.

Maybe the game isnt for soft players? Nah....

At WR? Like who? The self proclaimed 3rd best WR in the league isn't very good.

Plot twist, Toney hated the Giants and was "hurt" until he got traded.
