Brandon Beane made himself a bit of a reputation of being a guy who likes to make trades, but he's actually been quiet over the past two years. Not sure we'll see anything. - buffalofan19
Maybe he was just extra aggressive in the early days? There are so few trades - I don't think he is quiet at all.

I think we have the team in place and developed players at a pretty good rate the last few years
Early on in the “rebuild” we were plug and playing holes.
Now we have actual depth.
The bills currently have 2 million in cap space.
Ifffff the bills sign OBJ it’s for Pennies.
If we do trade for someone. We need that team to eat some of the salary.
Mccaffery for example only makes 1 mill salary cap hit wise. So insanely cap friendly deal
Barkley I think makes 4 ish owed
Claypool is owed 1.3 ish |

I love how many bills fans on twitter say
“We don’t need a roof” on the new stadium and it’s “apart of living in buffalo”
I don’t buy that garbage response.
Last year, I went to the commanders game, very chilly
Dolphins game was cold icy rainy and miserable
Jets game was windy and freezing and fans didn’t show up
Patriots game at the time was horrible. I didn’t truly enjoy it till watching the highlights.
Colts game raining hard and cold
I guess my point is …. Fans don’t want to be freezing at games and players don’t either.
I still went to the games I mentioned. But it wasn’t fun. It was a grind trying to survive some of them. |

I would guess that the majority of fans agree with you. Unfortunately the team plays up to the idea of it being some kind of advantage for the home team.

Taxpayers as well. The whole thing is stupid enough as it is, I can't imagine trying to justify the extra expense for the dome or to be downtown.

Especially when you really break down the costs associated for a roof versus the added potential benefits of one.
What exactly would a roof bring financially to the stadium? Buffalo will never hold a Super Bowl, wouldn't ever host a FIFA soccer game, wouldn't even be able to host a crap NCAA Bowl game. The infrastructure for such events is just not there. Would a roof be nice? Absolutely, but would the added expense show the ROI, especially on a stadium deal where there rarely if ever is good ROI on such deals?

A roof would bring additional concerts, convention center floors space, NCAA basketball, UB football, Monster trucks, WWE, and plenty of other options.
If you are concerned about ROI - a new stadium to be used for 10-12 bills game a year is not worth it. From January till august it’s basically dead.
A dome or retractable roof stadium can be used 365 days a year for anything.
If you get 20+ events a year at the domed stadium …. It’s a Win.

The taxpayer money is being paid for by the casino tax revenue they owed the state. Taxpayers aren’t footing too much of the bill
(I think it was around 500+ million from the casinos ) |

the most miserable bills game I ever went to didn't even involve snow
it was late november 1988
we beat the jets 9-6 in ot to clinch the afc east
36 degrees and steady rain

I certainly would have loved for the Bills fan to have a dome. They certainly deserve it, but as long as the thing gets built i'll be happy. I find the tax dollar arguement to be silly. While the Pegulas get the profit, the Bills fan gets the enjoyment of the building. I, for one, would much rather my NY State tax dollar went to Bills fan than any number of despicable public institutions. At least I like the Bills and people I love live and die with them. On the other side of the coin, I find it tantamount to child abuse to send any child to the Buffalo Public School system. Very easy decision as to which one I'd rather see my tax dollars go to. |

Rain and 33 - 50 degrees is the worst. Especially when you're on a mountain side with miles yet to hike. |

That was the dolphins game last year. It sucked. I did prepare for the rain and it still didn’t help |

IIRC, part of the talk was to host soccer, hence going with natural grass. |

I like Horvat for the Sabres. Love the idea, in fact. I'd do a rent-to-own at the TDL. Use a top 10 1st and be done with it.
The other day I stated I'd rather wait for UFA but I doubt he'd be available to us. |

Not quite shocking, but I'm pretty surprised.
Now, my question is where does the almighty Sabres analytics department fall on this? |
