Sabres looked like the youngest team in the league playing their 4th game of a western road trip last night.

They were due for a stinker, how they respond with MON, CHI, and DET up next at home will tell a story. Win 2 of 3 and all is well.

Even when they were winning, the special teams have been god awful. If they don’t get that figured out, then they will be in serious trouble.

Other then that, the goaltending was bound to regress at some point and they will have to do a better job with Samuelsson out of defending high danger scoring opportunities.

That’s all I got

- Pegullaville

Exactly

They were playing like a team that was missing a two top 4 D and the other top 4 D had a horrible game.

I have no idea what happened in the 3rd because I turned it off after 2, but they looked awful

Problem with the Sabres isn't Krebs, Quinn, nor Vinny...and isn't really Girgs as much as I like to rag on him.

They are being out chanced in High Danger Opportunities by a wide margin...16 at 5v5.

Skinner and Tage need to pick their poop up and start creating and finishing. To me, their collective productivity is representative of 3rd line guys

I think there might have been a small setback. Like you said just seemed odd that he went from practicing to not visible with no peeps about it.
- ImThatGuy

Even though Bills CB Tre’Davious White won’t play this week, he was out of the red non-contact jersey at practice today, which is very encouraging for his progress.

Sure now.

Tre went from being out at training camp jumping around and hyping fans to being non existent, purely speculation but I think he had a minor setback.

I am guessing they expect to be okay vs the packers.

Lol girgensons is not the problem. We have way way worse problems.

Okposo looks like a snail and sucks he looks shot

Tage has sucked

Skinner has sucked

Olofsson has been brutal

Power has been bad

Quinn is a rookie. He gets a pass for bad play but is insanely slow

Sad part is. I’m not even exaggerating

Keifer Bellows on waivers. I’d consider it.

I try not to rag in Skinner too much but between him and Thompson that’s 17 million dollars of player being absolutely ass

Yes Skinner draws penalties I get that, I’m tired of hearing it. I need him to score goals too, thats kind of a major part of hockey.

Go get a top 4RD to help if you can, and find away to finish of that Cozens line. Cozens and JJ have been good, and nothing against Hino but get a RW to finish that line.

Quinn doesn't have a shot on goal yet this season. Yes, I know he had a goal wiped out by 37, but this is still concerning to me. Would like to see him with more PP time to see if that creates a spark. PP 1 could use a shake up. I am looking at you Jeff Skinner.

I think people are waaaay overreacting to a single game. We loved that line 24 hours ago. In the long term we all know that Hino probably isn't here but for now he is just fine.

Skinner, Okposo and Olofsson are done and should be gone to any bidder. The young guys listed need time and will be up and down until some experience kicks in with consistency.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I don’t think that line is fine, especially with Hino. Hinostroza isn’t good and Peterka is bound to hit some rookie bumps at some point

*HOPEFULLY* the current deal does fall apart,
and we get a lakeside stadium in the city (like we should’ve had all along)

- jdfitz77

The Pegulas seem hell bent on keeping the Bills in Orchard Park. Not sure how they would be motivated to build a stadium in the city if public money is being taken off the table. There's almost zero chance that stadium is built anywhere other than the current location regardless of who wins the election in November.

I've taken a jaded approach to "defend" the funds for building a new stadium, and will 100% admit that it's mired in homerism. And that is: while in principle I don't believe that public funds should be used for private ventures like stadiums, I also believe that if that money isn't used for the stadium, the government, especially this state's government, will use it for something equally, if not more wasteful. At least with the stadium, I get a benefit that at least makes me feel good about myself for 8-10 weeks out of the year. That being said, I highly doubt the state re-negs on the deal. At best, the amount of public money gets reduced by a few million.

What I can see happening, if Zelden were to get elected, is that almost zero money goes to improvements or a new arena for the Sabres.

based on?

Tennessee is as red as a state gets, and they worked out record deal for public funding for their new stadium

I could see the state playing hardball and saying since too much money was directed towards the Bills stadium, that's all the Pegulas get. The Sabres don't move the needle anywhere near the Bills do, if you believe that pro sports teams make a material dent in economies to begin with.
