If anyone thinks coaching has nothing to do with winning, like the guy in your quote, they should have their head examined. GM's say it all the time, they said it this summer that very good NHL coaches can get you an addition 5-8 wins. That's the difference between home ice adv. or being on the road, that's the difference between making the playoffs as a wildcard or not making it.
