Thanks Carol

Finally we get to see Rathbone, hopefully he takes full sdvantage of the opportunity. Need Demko to get in the zone for this one.

Always fun when the expansion cousins play. The boo birds could be out early this year.

Rathbone is not an NHL defender. He belongs in the A. Going to attend the game. I’m sure it will be a regrettable decision

@Marwood

Are you having trouble with the quote option this afternoon? To much weed?

I haven't had too much to notice this.

I think if the roster was constructed differently he's have a place on the team. When you have Hughes that plays a similar game and 25 minutes a night he's redundant.

If I wake up in time I will try to watch this game as something tells me it’s a must win lol.

At least the players are focused on being confident. It’s easy to be down but that’s a loser mentality.

I have no problem with being wrong. I was right there beside you when you were claiming a full season under Bruce blah blah blah. Now that the season is starting poorly and we are already measuring how far the Canucks have to catch up to the teams in the wild card spots, I'm being critical of him among other things and admitting I was wrong about how this team would start without Green. You on the other hand can't admit you got the Bruce start wrong and just rewrote the past.

Incorrect. Just to clarify your mixing words yes I did say that I liked this club under Boudreau and the .668 win % spoke for itself last year. And yes I did say I expected the same this season and I will stick to that and if I'm wrong and they miss the PO's so be it. However, what I did not say is they would get out to this 'Humungous' (lol) start under Boudreau. Never did I predict they would go 5-0 or 10-0 to start. In fact, I said on more than one occasion prior to the season start that with the injuries and integrating 5 new players or so into the lineup (plus the poopty schedule) that it would not be surprising to see a 'slower start'...but not 0-5 I actually expected them to be at least .500 on the road but it didn't come about. I agreed with you on your assessment of preseason, lines and a few other head scratchers but I don't recall ever saying they were going to be on this 'big hot start' under Boudreau. But I still expect them to compete for 3rd in the division and the WC spot. Lots of Hockey left bro. They have the ingredients to do it...just need some help on D

But it all starts with a win tonight.

Sabres are bleeding shots against, getting great goaltending, similar PP than ours to start the season, if they don’t get the goaltending good chance their winless, come on demko! That tying goal against the wild should never go in and I noticed a few other times that shortside there was lots of room just fortunate the puck hit him in the chest.

Way too many contradictions. You claimed a "3rd OA in the WC under BB for a full season". You claim this team would get off to "a Green type start".

How are both of these possible at the same time? Green's starts kept this team out of the playoffs. His start last season got him fired. How does Bruce have a Green type start and finish 3rd in the WC? Green's start was what kept Bruce's great run out of the playoffs yet this time round it's going to lead to him finishing 3rd in the WC... good grief. Try and stick to one claim or the other instead of flip flopping around.

I have faith that Demko will get his head right. He's been rattled on a few of those tying goals and once he makes those stops he'll be fine. The D need to help him dig time and I like what I've seen so far with Myers back in. Plus Myers will want to stick it to his old team.

lol the irony.

There is no reason this club can't bounce back. It's 5 games lol. Weren't the Blues in 31st spot in Dec of 2018? Much can change over the course of a full season and yes I will stick to what I said even with a slower start this club can show better under a full season of Bruce IMO. The 'Green starts' I was referring too involve 2-4 weeks of the first months. Not 5 games man. Yes I will be worried if there is 4 weeks of this crap but hoping they can get back on the rails with a win tonight. The 'Green start' last year was 25 games. Let's see where this homestand goes and see over the next 10-15 games. Sheesh dude...if we are 8-15-2 over the first 25 games that's a Green style start. There are concerns with the club from the road trip no doubt but I also think 80% of the are mostly mental with playing 60 min hockey. Scoring isn't and issue it appears but we need team D and a full 60 mins of Hockey. And they'll be fine.

You keep reminding people that you said this team would have a Green type start from the beginning(which in reality is only a recent back peddle). In your post I'm quoting right now you explain what a Green start is... 2-4 weeks... first 25 games etc... So how the hell does this team have a Green type start and finish top 3 in the WC let alone the playoffs? This is what I mean about you playing both angles... or flip flopping.

I'm only pointing this all out because you accused me of flip flopping because I praised Bruce when he was winning and then I criticized Bruce when he was losing. That is not a flip flop. That is discussing what is currently happening. So I gave an example of flip flops that you have shown. No need to lecture me about turning the season around, I know it's early... that's just a deflection is all that is.

They have to win 3 straight just to get to .500 hockey, which is essentially losing hockey.

Get back to .500 and go from there. Wouldn't there be 74 games left by then?

If they win 3 straight there are 74 games left. Considering they haven't won once yet 3 straight is a pretty lofty goal.

Basically, they need to play .652 hockey the rest of the way to be on the bubble. Pretty realistic.

44-27-6 the rest of the way gets it done.
