I know the plan is to tank, but part of the rebuild here is to get some of the younger players to their potential. Provy tk hart. Those guys get to another level and there’s a core to build around. We’ll still get a high pick in a good draft but this is good. I wonder if it took a coach like torts to get through to them properly? Who knows.

I wish I could take that attitude. This is a terrific time for Philly sports based on results alone (well, the Sixers will come around), the most hopeful that I can remember. But to me the Flyers are digging their own grave of perpetual mediocrity and it is a fly in the ointment for me.

It is unusual times indeed. Hart has been unreal so far. There was a lot of optimism Hart could be a franchise goalie after his play in the bubble. So far, so good- Hart has been that good.
