It may be that he can't get that shot off anymore like he used to be able to. If he transitions into a great playmaker on the team, is that really a bad thing? At his current salary, sure... But going forward, if he can put up points away from goals on a regular basis, that's really not a bad thing.

My one wish tonight... get Hoffman off that 4th line. Expecting a 18 year old kid to go play and learn the defensive side with him on the ice makes no sense. A good 200 foot player who can get him the puck is what is needed.
