I don't get ESP+ either, but I found the game somewhere online. The performance of the Isles' skaters last night could be divided into one of 3 categories...........bad, worse, and worst.

I watched "highlights" .. Brock had absurd give aways on goal 2 and 4. Salo pinching way too much cost them on goal 1 and gave them a bunch of other opps... Even Pelech on the 3rd goal way out of position. It's one thing to "open it up a bit" .. quite another to stop playing defense the right way. Especially against a team with that kind of speed. brutal game.

Refs seem to see every discretion by Isles but blind as bats when they cross check, trip, or hook. (I know I am biased but wathcing the call on Clutterbuck and then watching the highlights of Leafs/Stars and seeing 1000 X worse not called in first minute.)

It's going to be a process with playing a new system under Lane and having the defense help the offense. The defense did not think about about offense under Barry's system. Even if the players really become comfortable, there is still a lack of offense and too much reliance on older players.

If we won last night and lost the next 2 I would have been ok... losing that one is a bit more concerning.

Well then I wouldn’t try to out skate or run and gun them. Gotta hit them and get in their faces and slow them down.
Terrible in every aspect of the game. If they play like this they are done. Hopefully it’s one and done and they wake up or this is going to be a real long season.

Mat Barzal and Brock Nelson skated at least one rep together as lines rotated during #Isles practice. I asked Lane Lambert if he would consider using the two centers together at some point. "I don't think anything's completely out of the question ever. So you just never know."

Devils are a really fast and very talented young team. They have a solid core of skill they drafted with Hughes, Nico, Huges, etc. They have had some good signs too in Palat, Hamilton, Huala, Vanecek, etc. They got rid of PK Slewfootban. The only thing they really need is a savvy veteran like Palmieri back to help these young guys out. ... Toss us a first and u can have him back.
