Pouty is coming into his own, Hughes needs less minutes and better partner suited to his play.

Ya, that is what several keep trying to tell me, but I don't believe them either

You should. He's been great. And mostly 5-5 scoring.

See how the next 6-10 games go.....

I mean...things could be bad...

Literally....

- no cap space
- bloated contracts for anyone that's decent other than EP40, QH, Demko (the only 3 you'd keep)
- bottom 10, maybe bottom 5 for prospects....

And I'm a homer lol GO CANUCKS GO! Reality sinking in....

Petey is off to a great start. Not just on the scoresheet either. He is all over the opposition defensively as well.

The same Allvin who backed up the Brinks truck for Boeser to "not lose player control"? Who knows really.... maybe he is a poopty GM.
- boonerbuck

He worked for the Pittsburgh Penguins for 16 years and won three Stanley Cups (first as European Scout and back-to-back as Director of Amateur Scouting), and eventually worked up to Assistant General Manager and interim GM after the departure of Jim Rutherford. So technically we hired another GM without a whole lot of actual GM experience with an excellent background in Scouting. Sound familiar?

lol

But first Swedish NHL GM ever and the praises coming in here were mighty high.

Would like to see Hughes with the same effort Petey is making.

He looks TIRED already....hoping he's not out of shape...he was held out for being sick, so maybe a bad flu? I expect he will return to last years form.

Still making nice plays but has had trouble physically lately. Just getting swatted away like a fly... He's a bit banged up I think and looks kind of sick and miserable every time the camera is on him.

But this time we hired one of the most experienced GM's with 3 cups under his belt as the President. Rather than a rookie Pres to go with a rookie GM.

“I think that decision [sitting Garland] rubs players the wrong way. Other players take that personally, and not in a way to rev them up, but almost in a way that you would get pissed off at your coach and your management team for making that decision.”

Is the reporter suggesting that a bunch of grown men who make millions playing a game are pouting over one of their teammates being sat for a single game?

If true, then BB is right... these guys are mentally weak.

Could be... and maybe they think Bruce is also mentally weak. He's made some very questionable decisions from the late preseason on. Stands in front of the cameras talking about how they are mentally weak... team has had a players only meeting only 3 games in. Followed up with Bruce sitting one of the better player efforts on the team. Lot's of blame to spread around...

Not surebif people remember the pouting by the players, over not re-signing Tanev, Toffoli and Markstrom.
I thought it was obvious back then how mentally weak these group is.

Starts with Miller and Hughes.

The latest version of the Canucks just makes me more appreciative of the 2010/11 team. Call guys like Kesler, Burrows, Lapierre, Bieksa all the names but at least they had swagger and attitude. They may have crossed that line a few times but that’s what winners have to do.

I miss rooting for winners. I hate having to root for losers.
