Re-adding big ED will make this D a solid group.

Can we please make some room for WaterBoy near the front of the #Optobus please?

Winning is a great way of developing kids.

Tiired of having a goalie that covers up for a bad team

Also want to see some O!

- WaterBoy

pretty sure you can have both good offense and good goaltending, that's how you win.

agreed on the "winning is good for development" part, I never hope for them to lose anyways, I'm just worried that it could hurt their chances of getting a good pick for nothing if they don't actually get in the playoff picture.

ED usually results in a soft, floppy D I thought.

It needs to be said, I think it's amazingly cool to see Price at the Habs annual blood bank event today.

Guy might be done playing hockey, but he's still around the team and still lives in Candiac. Unlike Weber who just disappeared.

- Scabeh

Price has been a member of the Habs org for almost 20 years...Weber had an entire life before his moderately brief stint in Montreal. Wtf do you expect?

You don't need the best goaltending, if you have a team with 4 lines of solid depth and strong defence corps, then a better than average goalie will do.

No team is gonna be stacked with great players at all positions (anymore), it is finding the right balance... but to the original point, the Habs strategy of "turtle + awesome goalie + maybe score a few goals" for the better part of the last 35+ years is getting old...

I don't recall saying "best goaltending" though... and imho "better than average" = "good", which is what I said they would need, good goaltending.

when a player gets his money, wether the team pays or the insurance pays, I expect him to be around the team and work on his return. not 3000 miles away watching tv.

but what if he isn't returning, he should be pretending he is?

He was still on the god damn payroll.

Showing up from time to time in team events and helping out the team in any way he could was the (frank)ing least I'd expect.

team events, I guess, but with all due respect if the guy isn't playing, and isn't given another role, then he isn't bringing much help.
